I have seen this wreath all over blog land, both for Christmas and for Valentine's Day and it has been on my to-do list for a while. I'm pretty sure I saw it at the Idea Room first.  I finally sat down with my supplies to create it and I {heart} how it turned out!  I have it hung in my family room :)   I think if I start early enough, I can create a couple of these for Christmas :) Links: Tatertots & Jello Young & Crafty Someday Crafts

Just before Christmas, when I was completely finished shopping, wrapping and prepping, I spent a day sewing!  I decided to make my kids some new fleece pj pants, and myself some flannel ones.  For the kids, I searched for online tutorials, and this is the one I used:  HERE I had some fabric left, so I cut a 6" wide piece, fringed the edges and made them matching scarves.    For Christmas, we got my daughter a HUGE princess castle vinyl for her room.  I've been waiting to put this up before putting up the rest of the pictures in her room.  Her crib will eventually transform into her big girl bed, so this is where it will be for a LONG time!  My little princess gets to sleep "in" her castle :)

I have been a CTMH consultant for almost 4 years and have grown a nice little team :)  Most of my team is scattered across the US, but I have a few ladies that are local to me. I am having my first official "team meeting" tonight and wanted to make each of them a little something! I created an altered notepad, based on instructions from fellow consultant Vicki W. I used the new Wings Level 2 paper pack, Dreams Come True and January's Stamp of the Month- Find Your Style, the Wings Level 2 assortment (pleated ribbon) and Pearl Opaques.  You can find these items in January's INSPIRATIONS Flyer HERE.  I used the "puddle pad" technique to stamp the butterfly.  I used Vineyard Berry, Juniper and Black reinkers on a wipe, then inked my stamp.  I love the Tie-Dye effect you get with this technique!  Add some pearl opaques and its done! As a mom of a daughter with beautiful curly hair, it is essential that we have a large stash of bows.  As she's getting bigger, so is her hair, so the bows need to be bigger.  Most of the hair bows she has are made of ribbon- all bought by other people.  Then she has some awesome felt clippies- made by my talented cousin Pamela (check out her out HERE ), and most recently from my friend Jayma (check out her shop HERE ).   But I wanted her to have some flower bows and some BIG bows too.  So I searched and searched through my large collection of flowers and here's what I came up with.  I secured the layers of flowers either with a brad or with hot glue, then hot glued it to an alligator clip.  Voila!  Cheap (because I had all that stuff) and EASY!   The red white and black one is my favorite and she'll wear it with her Christmas outfit!

For the next 5 days, I will be sharing some home made gifts that I have been giving for Christmas. Family Name Frames: I originally got this idea from my friend Erica .  I then created one for myself: I took a 10x20 frame, some large cardstock (in the framing section) and cut it to size.  Then I cut out "Patrick"  and all the other little shapes using the Storybook font and used my cuttlebug to emboss it.  "family" was cut with Opposites Attract.  I added a little bling and voila! We get SOOOOOO many compliments on this! Then, I thought these would make great gifts.... so I made one for my brother and his wife:   I am making one for a gift this year, but I cannot reveal who its for.... I've been working on getting our new home set up!  That includes hanging pictures on the walls (I have MORE wall space for that now), accessorizing bookshelves (MORE of those now too) as well as getting our holiday decorations out. I came across THIS post a few weeks ago at Lil'Luna and fell in love with it!  I just knew that I was going to make one myself!  So with all the frame sales this weekend at Michael's and JoAnn's, and the Black Vinyl that I had on hand, I was able to create this in just a couple hours! Welcome to the Paper Secrets Spooky Blog Haunt. I have made a couple Wall Art projects to share with you today! This Witch wall hanging was super easy to create!  I took a 9x9 canvas and Mod Podged some newspaper clippings right onto it.  Then I painted the edges black.  I used the "A Child's Year" cricut cartridge to cut the witch out at 7".  I Mod Podged that on top and voila!  30 minute project!! We are moving at the end of the month and I've been on the lookout for fun, creative artwork for my kid's playroom.  I came across something similar, somewhere in blog land.  I took a 16x20 canvas (wish it was larger) and painted it black.  Then I cut out 4x4 and 5x5 squares of white cardstock.  I painted my sons hands in rainbow colors and "stamped" them on the larger squares.  Then painted my daughter's hands in the bright and fun colors and "stamped" them on the smaller squares.  This was the arrangement I came up with!  The squares are just adhered with foam tape.  I hope they stay up there!!  I thought having some personalized artwork would not only be fun, but something to treasure too :-) What do you think???

It's officially "Back to School" time around here!  I've been back for almost 2 weeks already, 4 days of teacher training and a full week of school with students.  Its always tiring the first few days back, mostly the waking up early, getting everyone's things ready in the morning and being busy for hours on end.  I think I'm in the swing of things now though!  Enough to even do some crafting this weekend!!! Back to School is a wonderful time of year for parents- as the kids go back!  Its also an expensive time of year too with school supplies and new clothes.  Kids are excited too! (Until they reach middle school- where they look like they're still on vacation for the first couple months!) I created a little treat basket for my club ladies to make at the Kit of the Month playdate tomorrow :) I got this idea from a fellow Joyful Hearts teammate Gail Blask. So bear with me as I give you my first ever tutorial on how to create one of your own :) Start with a 6x6 piece of cardstock, scored at 2" from all sides (creates a tic-tac-toe looking pattern). Cut the score lines on two sides, the opposing sides, to the middle score line. Fold in the middle first then the two sides forming a point. Adhere. You will also need a 1"x12" piece of cardstock for the handle and another piece of patterned paper at 3/4"x12" for decoration. Adhere the handle on the inside of the basket. Use any kind of die cut you like to cover the sides. I used the bunny from my Doodle Charms cricut cartridge for the Easter treat baskets and cut some hearts from the Doodle Charms cart to form 3 leaf clovers for St. Patrick's Day treat baskets! One of my friends, Kelci , started up a Crafty Mama Swap. We were assigned partners and the idea was to create something for your partner using your creative talent. Well you all know I'm a scrapper- so I created a mini acrylic album for my partner Ashley! Here's the album: My Top Ten I thought she could do just about anything with this.... top ten places to visit, foods, fabrics, books, people, moments in life.... anything! I made it through again!!!!!!! I'm now in the top 3!!! 2 weeks to go (I hope!!!) This challenge was a "NO corners" challenge, so everything had to be rounded.... I cut a mickey head on my cricut. Used circle stamps to stamp mickey heads on the back, then pierced the outlines! Used some rub-ons and thickers for my title.
