The 2013 Close To My Heart Convention is well underway!   If you want LIVE UPDATES on Convention happenings, NEW product announcements and PICTURES--- *Follow me on Facebook:  http://facebook.com/roxybondsctmh *Follow me on Twitter:  http://twitter.com/roxybonds This Spring, STARBURST cards have popped up ALL OVER!!!!  I finally sat down to make one (or a whole bunch) and they're oddly addicting!   Here's the first one I ever did:   I used the Clementine paper pack and Clementine Canvas Compliments for this card.  I made it on a Die Cut card.  First, here are the steps to take.... *Cut 1.5" x 5.5" strips of patterned paper (double sided is best). *Take strip and turn it in your cutter so that it's diagonal.  Line up opposite corners along your cut line and CUT.  Now you have 2 diagonal strips *Mark the center of your card base.   *Mark where your bottom piece of paper will lay (it will cover the bottoms o...

I had my first cardmaking class of 2013 this week!  It was a blast!  So nice to get back to creating and even better to see all my crafty friends :) There were 12 cards to choose from and the ladies each made at least 8.  Success I would say! Welcome to the Close To My Heart Stamp of the Month Blog Hop for September 2012, featuring Fall Favorites   All artwork on the hop will feature Fall Favorites!  This is a set of 11 stamps and it's really making me want FALL---- NOW!!!  How cute is this set!?  If you have come here from  Susan's Blog y ou are on the right path. For my card today, I used the new Clementine paper pack, which is so versatile!  I cut the tag from Art Philosophy and stamped Fall Favorites in Brown Staz-on ink, then colored the pumpkin and leaves with my new markers.  I found that they don't blend and shade terribly well on Kraft cardstock- but the color showed up.  I added some of my favorite Burlap Ribbon to the card :) Do you think I like pumpkin pie???  Just a little bit ;) The September Stamp of the Month- Fall Favorites is available September 1-30th.  With any $50 purchase, this set is yours for $5....

Welcome back to Day 17 of the Artiste in August Blog Hop!!  You should be arriving from Amy's Blog .   Your next stop will be PAMELA'S BLOG.   Today is an ANY SHAPE day.  I would like to share some cards with you from my recent All You Can Create Card Class.  I tend to use a lot of Cricut cuts in these cards because it's easy to pop in some cardstock and hit the Quantity button and cut several at a time for class.  These are just some basic cuts for sentiments! This card features Clementine papers and Say It In Style stamps.  I used some Neutral Twine and Brown and Tan Bling.  This card is a copy of a card we created at convention. The sentiment is on a bracket from page 33  This card is a lift of a card I found on Pinterest.  I used the new Ruby ink and Scholastic papers.  I LOOOOVE the burlap ribbon on this one.  All you need to do to fray it as shown is cut off the binding, then pull some of the strings off...

We created a card like this at convention and I wanted to replicate it for my August card class.  The card shape, with a tiny heart at the bottom, was found on page 36 (Cut at 4").  "LOVE" was found on page 66 (cut at 1 1/4").  The heart was also from page 66.  I used pattern paper from Flirty- dark pink, Dakota- grey, Clementine- Twilight pattern and La Belle Vie- light pink.  I added a grey gem to the center of one of the hearts.  Love was cut from some Twilight textured cardstock.  I sure am glad that CTMH brought back every cardstock color in bulk.  I really need to stock up again!  I love when a card comes together and I realize there was NO STAMPING on it!   Cricut Artiste- now available!   The fabu...
