This stamp set is not typically "my style", but I challenged myself to stamp the flowers for this month!  I love how they came out! My card today is based on the Mojo Monday Sketch #282 .  I used the die-cut shaped cards as my base.  First I used Honey ink to stamp the flowers in a cluster at the top of my card.  I stamped the solid image in second generation, then they detail on top in full color.  I used some black shimmer trim along the bottom left and paper from For Always .  I used the new Joyful Birthday set for the sentiment.  I added some black t...

I'm back with THREE cards created for more challenges!!! I came across Deconstructed Sketch over the weekend and decided to make a card for the challenge!  Gnarly Birthday! While creating my layout for the Later Sk8r workshop , I thought the skater image would make a cool card!  I used the Later Sk8r papers, Later Sk8r assortmen t & stamp set .  The sentiments are stamped with Card Word Puzzle . Here's the Deconstructed Sketch # 89 I also found " The Sweetest Thing " card sketch site this weekend and got to work on their Sunday Sketch.  My first card: I used CTMH's new Chantilly paper pack and Chantilly workshop stamp set and Chantilly Assortment for this card.  I was unsure what to do with the pie shaped stamps, but they worked perfect with this sketch :)  For the sentiment, I used the March Stamp of the Month- Floral Happiness .  I stamped on the inside as well "having you as a friend". I had my first cardmaking class of 2013 this week!  It was a blast!  So nice to get back to creating and even better to see all my crafty friends :) There were 12 cards to choose from and the ladies each made at least 8.  Success I would say! For the last several years, I have created THREE scrapbooked calendars for family and myself.  I used to do this the traditional scrapbook way, but now I do it the Studio J way! First, I get these awesome 12x12 calendars from CTMH : I stamp the name of the Month, then write in all the dates and finish it by adding some stamping that coordinates with the calendar page :)  I have tried stamping the dates (takes FOOOREVER!!!), I've tried number/date stickers (too time consuming to get those dang things straight)--- so now I just write them in.  Here's what that looks like (from 2011): Now for the Scrapbooked part..... I use STUDIO J !!!!!  Why???  It allows me to create a layout ONCE, then print as many as I want!  I could make 20 calendars (but I won't, haha).  Studio J makes 2-page layouts--- well, sure, it does.  Here's what I do:  1)  Use the same photos on both pages (3 on one page, 3 on the other page) and use them on 2 di...

While my blog posts have been lacking lately, I have still been creating!  I have a card box and card set class today, and an All You Create Card class next weekend as well!  Here are some new cards: Top Left: Cardstock and ink!  Stamp set is from the Pemberly Workshop kit , added a bling button with Paradise Twine.  Top Right- Zebra Birthday!  Paper is Roxie , Stamp set is Art Philosophy Celebrations . Last week's All You Can Create Card Class was awesome!  The ladies enjoyed it and walked away with anywhere from 10-18 cards!  WOOHOOO!
