This week's challenge over at Heart2Heart Challenges is Inspired by Food.   A couple weeks ago we went fruit picking at a local u-pick farm.  The fruits were delicious, the scenery was amazing and the company was fabulous.   I decided to scrapbook this adventure with Studio J.   I used the Flirty Kit for this layout. You've heard me rave before about Studio J , and this is no exception!  I took tons of pictures and was able to incorporate lots of them in this layout without having to print any of them, or crop any of them.  I just uploaded and dragged them into the slots.  EASY PEASY! I hope you'll play along with us a Heart2Heart this week!

This week I created a couple different fabric flowers using CTMH's new Textiles.  While I was doing that, I brought out my Rosette Ribbon and made a flower with that too!  To create the flower, I took about 15 inches of the rosette ribbon, using liquid glass, I glued it to a circle punched at 1.5".  The center is a big shimmer brad that I colored with my Gypsy marker.  Then the Mojo Monday sketch 284 for this week was a perfect fit for this flow er card.  Over at Color My Heart- the Color Dare challenge was to use two different paper packs, so I used up some older papers for this one- the Pink pattern is Flirty and the marbled background paper is from Moonlight.  The stamp set is Party Pennants.  I also used some Silver Glitter paper.  Come back later tonight to see the other two flowers I created with the CTMH Textiles!

We created a card like this at convention and I wanted to replicate it for my August card class.  The card shape, with a tiny heart at the bottom, was found on page 36 (Cut at 4").  "LOVE" was found on page 66 (cut at 1 1/4").  The heart was also from page 66.  I used pattern paper from Flirty- dark pink, Dakota- grey, Clementine- Twilight pattern and La Belle Vie- light pink.  I added a grey gem to the center of one of the hearts.  Love was cut from some Twilight textured cardstock.  I sure am glad that CTMH brought back every cardstock color in bulk.  I really need to stock up again!  I love when a card comes together and I realize there was NO STAMPING on it!   Cricut Artiste- now available!   The fabu...

Welcome back to Day 9 of the Artiste in August Blog Hop!!  You should be arriving from Amy's Blog .  Your next stop will be PAMELA'S BLOG.   Today we are featuring the Flower Top Box on page 36 in the handbook (6 in the assembly book) I used the Flirty Level 2 papers for this one.  How do you like this "accent" color- Flirty Yellow???  CTMH is adding some seasonal accent colors to some of the paper packs in order to add to the color palette, without constantly adding new colors to our exclusive color list.  Along with Flirty Yellow is Flirty Raspberry.  I cut this Flower Top Box at fit to page in the Flirty yellow, then another in the flower pattern paper.  I cut the tabs off the flower paper and glued them to the yellow, just to give it more color at the top!  On the inside, I stamped "Just a note to Brighten your day", and used some of the chipboard accents from the Flirty Compliments.  I put them on one of our springs, ...

Welcome back to Day 7 of the Artiste in August Blog Hop!!  You should be arriving from Amy's Blog .  Your next stop will be PAMELA'S BLOG.   Today we are all featuring the 20 Circles Ball, found on page 57 in the handbook (p. 35 in assembly book). I was pretty excited for how well these turned out :)  I cut the circles at 1 1/4" as directed, then scored and folded them. I used the new Flirty Level 2 papers for this one- which are so bright and lively! The assembly was a little tricky, and I'm not sure it looks like a nice round circle all the way around.  But it did turn out pretty cute.   To add to the ball, I added some glitter buttons I had to the corners.  I strung colonial white ribbon through the center and knotted it at the top and bottom.  I used one of the resin flower stick pins from the Autumn Lane Assortment to the bottom of the ball.   These would make really cute ornaments for the holidays, even to give ...
