Family Bracket Frame

Every year, my hubs' baseball team has a HUGE fundraiser dinner!  This year, I decided to create a bracket frame to donate to the silent auction.   I used For Always paper to cover the frame.  Then I cut out several rolled flowers from Ruby cardstock from Art Philosophy .  I cut "Together"  and "family" from Artbooking .  I added Black Flourish Sparkles to the frame as well.  The hanger is from our retired Black Tulle.  Detail:  I added Silver Glitter Glitz to the flower edges, and in the center of some of the flowers.  I also added some bling in the center of other flowers.  I cut "family" 6 times, adhering them all together to make a thicker title.  You can see some of the black flourish sparkles here as well.  Any guesses how much it sold for?????  Challenges entered: H2H Flourish

CTMH Event Calendar

How often have you had to look up someone's birthday or anniversary?  How often do you have to transfer those special dates from one Calendar to the next??  What a pain!  I have a solution to help you keep them all in ONE place, a perpetual calendar, that you re-use year after year!! EVENT CALENDAR I love these event calendars !!!  I have had mine for a couple years now, but sadly it was not fully decorated.  I had done a couple months, but the rest was left plain.  NOT ANYMORE!  I finally got around to completing the whole calendar.  Not only that, but I made 10 (TEN) of these!   You would think that decorating a 3 1/2" x 3 1/2 " square would be a piece of cake.... not so much!  I tried to add as much glitter & glitz as I could, without making the pages bulky! January:  Frosted papers , Winter Wishes (Hostess Exclusive Stamp set), Silver Shimmer trim & Silver Glitz Glitter Gel February- For Always , Cr...

EVENT CALENDAR I just love these event calendars!  I created several of them for a crafty gift exchange party, and they were a huge hit.   On the February page, I used Cross Stitch Wishes to stamp the heart and to add some stamped accents down the page. I used the retiring For Always paper pack, black Shimmer Trim, Art Philosophy and Artiste to cut out the images.   STUDIO J CALENDAR This is one of my favorite p...

Mother's Day Cards & More

HaPpY MoThErS DaY!!!!!! I want to share with you the Mother's Day cards that I have created this week :)  There are many "mothers" in my life, so I thought I'd celebrate them all!  These cards go out to my mom, mother-in-law, sister-in-law (first time mom!!), grandmother & aunts. I'm also sharing a baby card, thank you card and a gift! This card was inspired by an older sketch that I used HERE .  I used Lucy & Chantilly papers to make the rosettes and the Perfect Fit Mom stamp set.  This card uses Freshly Made Sketch #85.   I used my cuttlebug to emboss the Buttercup cardstock and ran hollyhock ink over the dots.  The papers are Chantilly and the sentiment is from Perfect Fit Mom .  ((Linking to Freshly made Sketch #85 )) This card features the Claire paper pack and Perfect Fit Mom .  I added some Colonial White Rosette Ribbon and some Pearl Opaques to this card. How about some Dream Pop!!!  This card was made ...

Teacher Appreciation Week

Teacher Appreciation Week has never really meant much to me, as a teacher, unfortunately.  I have worked at a Middle School for 12 years, so it's never been a big deal.  We've had the occasional treat from an administrator, or luncheon put on by parent club, but that's it. Now that I'm a PARENT of a school aged child- Teacher Appreciation Week has become important to me!  I could go on and on about how amazing my son's teacher(s) are, about how ALL teachers are amazing.  The bottom line is, they play a HUGE role in shaping a child's life- academically, emotionally and socially.  In fact, teacher's spend more time with our kids, than we do.  Teachers are overworked, underpaid and unappreciated!  I know this FIRST HAND!  So I do what I can to show my appreciation for my kids' teachers :) My son is in First Grade this year :)  Early in the year, we got a list of the teacher's favorite things.  This has come in handy :)  The best ...
