For the last several years, I have created THREE scrapbooked calendars for family and myself.  I used to do this the traditional scrapbook way, but now I do it the Studio J way! First, I get these awesome 12x12 calendars from CTMH : I stamp the name of the Month, then write in all the dates and finish it by adding some stamping that coordinates with the calendar page :)  I have tried stamping the dates (takes FOOOREVER!!!), I've tried number/date stickers (too time consuming to get those dang things straight)--- so now I just write them in.  Here's what that looks like (from 2011): Now for the Scrapbooked part..... Last week's All You Can Create Card Class was awesome!  The ladies enjoyed it and walked away with anywhere from 10-18 cards!  WOOHOOO! For the Close To My Heart Convention last week, I created these layouts for my roomies! I wanted them to have a nice page to put some of their favorite convention photos on (like one of the 4 of us). There is no stamping on this layout (although we did get a stamp set at Convention that would create that logo that I printed out off the Convention website I just LOVE the little lollipop flowers at the bottom of the first page- so easy and yet so cute! Just punch out circles, crumple them to distress, then layer and use a brad or button in the center. Your circles can be different sizes or all the same size, then hand manipulated to whatever shape you desire. Another cool thing I did was created a "suede" look on the bottom of my twilight cardstock on the second page. I did that by rubbing my stamp pad directly onto the paper. Here are a couple cards I did for my card class this week! Technique: chalk popping Supplies: CTMH- Key to my heart pp, treasures of the heart stamp, noteworthy stamp, Autumn chalk, Clear ink, Juniper ink. Technique: Watercolor Supplies: CTMH- Creative basics Emporium PP and Ribbon, Alfresco stamp, Waterbrush, Twilight, Vineyard Berry CS, Twilight, Vineyard berry, Coco & Sweet Leaf Ink, clear buttons.

After week 5, I was voted out, BUT- that means I took 3rd place!!!!!!!!! Challenge 5 was a color challenge AND to use a punch. Mine is a scraplift of the Layout on the cover of the CTMH catalog. I used grungeboard for "angel" and the wings. I painted white then inked on the pattern. Distressed some edges and used pop dots for lots of dimension.
