Fresno Fair Results

For the last couple years, I have entered some of my favorite layouts, cards and other projects into the Fresno Fair Home Arts Exhibits.  I have been blessed by 1st, 2nd and 3rd place ribbons, Best of Show and Sweepstakes Ribbons.   This year is no different!  I entered 22 projects and came away with 15 ribbons this year and a Sweepstakes award!   Over the next week, I will show you some of my projects :) This is a Baby Boy Mini Album that was created using the Cricut Artbooking Cartridge.  The entire album is full of cricut cuts.  It's super cute and I was excited to see it won 1st place for Die Cutting Machine Mini Album.

Inspired By A Song

This week at Heart2Heart Challenges , we are featuring projects inspired by songs :) The first thing that popped into my head, when thinking about the challenge and songs, was HAPPY.  I came across the Happy Hexagon stamp set (Hostess Rewards set)  and got to work.   The Brushed paper pack is so bright and cheery, it makes me happy!  I cut the hexagons from Artbooking at 1 1/2" from the patterned papers, along with White Cardstock.  I added some Flamingo Dots and Bitty Sparkles to finish the card off.   Be sure to head on over to Heart2Heart Challenges to see what the rest of the design team has come up with :)  I hope YOU are inspired by a song this week too!

Picture My Life Scrapbook Page

This week's challenge over at Heart2Heart is using Picture My Life .  Now typically, you would use the Picture My Life program as intended- for quick and easy album pages.  (See this VIDEO ) But did you know that there are many other uses for them??   You can use them as accents or journaling boxes on your traditional scrapbook layouts, like mine here. I used the Chantilly Picture My Life cards as accents and title to my layout.  This layout features Lollydoodle Papers, an overlay cut from Artbooking , Pink Glitter paper, rolled flowers cut from Art Philosophy and Aqua Dots.   True to form, this layout came together pretty quickly, thanks to the Picture my Life cards :) Another idea, is to use our Picture My Life Cards on greeting cards- check some out HERE .  Check back tomorrow for some more ideas on how you can use Picture My Life cards.

Baby Boy Frames

Have you really checked out  Cricut Artbooking ?? I have been working on some baby projects for my cousin lately, to display in her newly opened Ultrasound Studio. Today I want to show you my Baby Boy Frames. This 12x12 frame uses an overlay cut in Lagoon card stock, a photo frame cut in Whisper card stock and backed it in an old blue pattern paper- Miracle.  I then cut Hello World, Baby Boy and the Owl on a Limb using Sky Blue,  Kraft & Slate Grey. I added some Aqua Dots to the layout as well.   All of the cuts are from  Artbooking,  cut at 11". This frame is a smaller version, at 8x8.  This frame features an overlay cut in Sky Blue, Photo frame in Chocolate.  Baby Boy and the Lion were cut in Chocolate & Kraft card stock..  I used some older Brown & Tan sparkles for accents.  All cuts are from  Artbooking , cut at 7 1/2".   Take a look at the display at Oh Baby Ultrasound:   Be sure...

Sugar & Spice with Heart2Heart

This week's theme at Heart2Heart Challenges is The Spice of Life. I struggled with this theme for a while, until I came across the Artbooking cut "sugar & SPICE".  So it's a little out of the box, but here's my Sugar & Spice girly card :) This 6x6 card features Lollydoodle papers &  compliments , Flamingo Dots , Silver Shimmer Trim and *new* Silver Sequins (coming in August). To create this card, I cut the overlay with Artbooking from the G key at 5 1/2" in White Daisy, a bracket frame from Artiste at 4" in the pink pattern, Sugar & Spice from Artbooking at 1 3/4" in both Pear & Juniper.  Once all the pieces were cut, this was easy to put together :) Don't forget that the  Lollydoodle papers  &  compliments   are on the Summer Retiring list, and are only available through July 31st.  Pick your set up today!!! Come on over to Heart2Heart and check out what my Design Team friends have created this we...

Welcome to the Close To My Heart Stamp of the Month Blog Hop for July- CIRCUS ALPHABET If you have come here from   Maria's Blog ,  you're on the right path.  This month we have over 40amazing artists' blogs for you to visit. I just love the fun and whimsical Alphabet set this month! Today I have a card to show you.  I was inspired by Pinterest once again, and decided to make a cardstock only card to showcase this fun set.  I used the Artiste cartridge to cut some clouds and the Artbooking cartridge to cut the sun.  I sponged some Whisper ink around the edges of the clouds.  Using Black Archival ink (for a thick, sharp stamped image), I stamped all the letters.  On the sun I sneaked a brand new product- a gold sequin, with a bitty sparkle in the center.   The July  Stamp of the Month is available from July 1-31.  It is only $5 with a $50 purchase on  my website ! The next blogger in our hop is  Ka...
