Roxybonds Creates

This week I created a couple different fabric flowers using CTMH's new Textiles.  While I was doing that, I brought out my Rosette Ribbon and made a flower with that too!  To create the flower, I took about 15 inches of the rosette ribbon, using liquid glass, I glued it to a circle punched at 1.5".  The center is a big shimmer brad that I colored with my Gypsy marker.  Then the Mojo Monday sketch 284 for this week was a perfect fit for this flow er card.  Over at Color My Heart- the Color Dare challenge was to use two different paper packs, so I used up some older papers for this one- the Pink pattern is Flirty and the marbled background paper is from Moonlight.  The stamp set is Party Pennants.  I also used some Silver Glitter paper.  Come back later tonight to see the other two flowers I created with the CTMH Textiles!

For the last several years, I have created THREE scrapbooked calendars for family and myself.  I used to do this the traditional scrapbook way, but now I do it the Studio J way! First, I get these awesome 12x12 calendars from CTMH : I stamp the name of the Month, then write in all the dates and finish it by adding some stamping that coordinates with the calendar page :)  I have tried stamping the dates (takes FOOOREVER!!!), I've tried number/date stickers (too time consuming to get those dang things straight)--- so now I just write them in.  Here's what that looks like (from 2011): Now for the Scrapbooked part..... I use STUDIO J !!!!!  Why???  It allows me to create a layout ONCE, then print as many as I want!  I could make 20 calendars (but I won't, haha).  Studio J makes 2-page layouts--- well, sure, it does.  Here's what I do:  1)  Use the same photos on both pages (3 on one page, 3 on the other page) and use them on 2 di...

Welcome back to Day 22 of the Artiste in August Blog Hop!!  You should be arriving from Amy's Blog .  Your next stop will be PAMELA'S BLOG.   Today we are featuring the Coffin Box on page 76 in the handbook (58 in the assembly book.) I wanted to do something a little different with this.  I thought the coffin shape would make a great CARD!  So I cut the lid of the coffin box at 8 3/4" (fit to page) in black cardstock.  I cut off the sides at the score marks, all except for on the left side.  I cut it again at 7 3/4" in the orange owl pattern from Moonlight.  Then I cut a piece of Colonial White cardstock the same shape as the coffin and glued it to the one flap on the left side to make a card :) To decorate the outside, I cut SPOOKY at 1 1/4" and glued it on top of 3 strips of the Silver Shimmer Trim.  I stamped "Have a Wicked Halloween" from last year's Wicked set.  National Stamping Month Special: To celebrate N...
