It has been a while since I showed you the first set of layout from the CTMH Southern Caribbean Cruise.  To be honest, I have not even finished them yet.  I probably have 3 more of the pre-made ones from CTMH to complete still.  However, here are the remaining FINISHED layouts: In my last post ( HERE ), I showed you the Cruise Earners, and our first two stops- St. Croix and St. Kitts.  Our 3rd Stop was Dominica.  That day, we decided to to a river tubing adventure with a big CTMH group.  The tubing photos are still on that disposable waterproof camera waiting to be developed (YIKES!)  But after that, about half of our group headed to a waterfall hike.  This layout features LOTS of stamped flowers, rock n rolled in two colors, creating my own background.   Our 4th stop was Grenada.  There we hired a driver to take us all over the island- so much fun!  I had to mix it up a little with this layout, after stamping 100's of...

Welcome to the Roxybonds Scrappers Team Blog Hop!  This month we will be featuring artwork from the   Claire and/or Buzz & Bumble   paper pack.   If you have come here from   Amber's Blog  then you are on the right path.  Your next stop will be   Stephanie's Blog Today I want to share with you a layout I made for Mother's Day using Claire.  What I like best about the Claire papers is that they are girly enough with the pinks and reds and flowers, but add a touch of neutral and blue to use for boys as well!  Since I have a boy and a girl, it works perfect for Mother's Day! The World's Greatest Mom shown below in detail was created by stamping the round frame from Frame Flair in Sunset ink, then World's Greatest from Perfect Fit Mom in Ruby ink and Mom in Blush ink.  You can see the sparkle flourish accent above it as well. It's hard to believe that our Cruise to the South Caribbean was over three months ago!  WOW!  Prior to going on the trip, CTMH sent cruise earners a BIG BOX FULL of supplies!  Most of it was supplies to create our Cruise Scrapbook!  CTMH created 10 layouts, pre cut with instructions for us.  We got an alphabet stamp set, some Chevron Ribbon, and ALL the embellishments we needed to create the 10 layouts.  Plus we got an exclusive stamp set, an album, a Studio J 5-pack and a Cruise Shirt.  SPOILED I tell you! ((What paper pack do you think CTMH used for our Cruise???)) When I sat down to create the layouts myself, I was stunned!  The layouts were BEAUTIFUL!  AND I learned some fun new techniques :)  I started off by following the instructions to a T, and then started veering off on my own. HaPpY MoThErS DaY!!!!!! I want to share with you the Mother's Day cards that I have created this week :)  There are many "mothers" in my life, so I thought I'd celebrate them all!  These cards go out to my mom, mother-in-law, sister-in-law (first time mom!!), grandmother & aunts. I'm also sharing a baby card, thank you card and a gift! This card was inspired by an older sketch that I used HERE .  I used Lucy & Chantilly papers to make the rosettes and the Perfect Fit Mom stamp set.  This card uses Freshly Made Sketch #85.   I used my cuttlebug to emboss the Buttercup cardstock and ran hollyhock ink over the dots.  The papers are Chantilly and the sentiment is from Perfect Fit Mom .  ((Linking to Freshly made Sketch #85 )) This card features the Claire paper pack and Perfect Fit Mom .  I added some Colonial White Rosette Ribbon and some Pearl Opaques to this card. Teacher Appreciation Week has never really meant much to me, as a teacher, unfortunately.  I have worked at a Middle School for 12 years, so it's never been a big deal.  We've had the occasional treat from an administrator, or luncheon put on by parent club, but that's it. Now that I'm a PARENT of a school aged child- Teacher Appreciation Week has become important to me!  I could go on and on about how amazing my son's teacher(s) are, about how ALL teachers are amazing.  The bottom line is, they play a HUGE role in shaping a child's life- academically, emotionally and socially.  In fact, teacher's spend more time with our kids, than we do.  Teachers are overworked, underpaid and unappreciated!  I know this FIRST HAND!  So I do what I can to show my appreciation for my kids' teachers :) My son is in First Grade this year :)  Early in the year, we got a list of the teacher's favorite things.  This has come in handy :)  The best ...

I recently learned how to make this double pocket card, and have since made several :) I love that you can fit a gift card, tag, or decorative element in the pockets! For this card, I used the Claire Papers .  I love how neutral this particular sheet is, it will go with anything!  I cut one of the large pinwheels (stamped in Cranberry with Crystal blue middle) and one of the medium sized pinwheels (stamped in Crystal Blue with Sunset middle) with Artiste.  I then stamped two more of the smaller pinwheels (one in Honey and one in Sky Blue).  To make them two-toned, I cut and paper pieced them together.  I added some old Fanfare b...

How about a little sunshine today??? Over at Heart2Heart, they are having a March Madness Challenge and this weeks theme is Spring Forward!  As we spring forward this weekend, I'm looking forward to more daylight and sunshine :)  For my card today, I used a sketch from Sweet Sunday Sketches.  Here's my sunshine-y card to brighten your day: To create this card, I used the Claire Paper pack and the April SOTM- My Sunshine .  I cut the images with Artiste and stamped the the darker two using the rock and roll technique in Sorbet and Hollyhock ink.  The background circle is second generation sorbet.  I used some old Hollyhock stitched ribbon, where I pulled the stitching to make it gather.  I hope your day is a little bit brighter now :) ********************************************* LeT's PaRtY!!!!!!!!!
