Studio J Layouts- Princess, Zoo & Express Collections

I {heart} Studio J!! Studio J is a way for me to catch up a little bit with my scrapbooking, to fill in the gaps between the traditional pages.  This month, I completed 18 layouts, which include 5 pages of photo printing (for my traditional pages).  I will show you a couple of them today :) Disney on Ice: I used the Zippidee kit for this one :) These next 2 use the Express Collections- where all I do is drag in my photos, add some journaling, adjust the colors (if I want to) and DONE!!! At The Zoo I used an OLD kit- Expedition for this one- perfect!  Give Studio J a try today!  START HERE!

PB Kids {inspired} Easter Wall Decor

Recently, I was browsing through my Pottery Barn Kids catalog and I came across a super cute Easter sign .  I tore that page out and started to gather my supplies!  This sign sells for $49 at Pottery Barn kids, but I made mine for less than $10!!!!! I had a 16x20 canvas on hand, so I painted it with a shimmery blue paint.  I liked the streaky, distressed look that I got with one coat, so I stuck with it.  I pulled out some Close to my Heart papers in the colors I needed and started browsing my Cricut cartridges for images.  I love that CTMH paper is double sided with patterns, so I can use the subtle "back" side to patterns and get just the right color! I cut the chick from "Once Upon a Princess" using paper from Zippidee, Splendor and Olivia paper packs.  The egg was cut from Doodlecharms with Sophia paper, then cut in a zig zag pattern to resemble the broken egg.  I cut "Happy" from Celebrate with Flourish from the Sophia paper pack and Easter f...

Top Ten- Favorite CTMH Layouts of the Year

I've been going through my layouts from this year (some are in boxes, some are in a drawer, none are in albums yet) and I wanted to showcase my favorite ten of the year!  Olivia Kit of the Month--- I was not a huge fan of the "fallish" layout that was featured, but I knew the colors would go perfectly with my daughters 2 year pictures.  Ice Cream- Hooligans Papers, Party Pennants and I Scream stamps.  Simple, lots of white space, but just enough! Magnifique Dad Layout- I love this pattern from the Magic How To Book BOYZ- Zippidee papers with another Pattern from Magic Another magnificent layout with Magnifique !  These blues are really amazing! Sweet Cherries- Cherry-O had such great colors!  I used up every inch of that paper pack! Spring Time with Splendor !  Veranda - very elegant and perfect for this picture! Rockin' the playful sporty layouts with You Rock Felicity- flowers work with baseball stadium pics too! ...

CTMH---- Zippidee Layouts-- Getting the most of your Kit of the Month

Are you wondering, what else can I do with my workshop Kits each month?  Typically, I create the featured layout and 6 cards from the workshop guide.  Then I create the additional layout from the workshop.  After that, I still have quite a bit of paper leftover.  This month, I want to show you what else I've done, including a cool project!  I have been using the Zippidee Kit of the Month on several projects.  I've used it for T-ball layouts and Disney layouts.  These scrapbook pages are also Disney layouts.  I have also used our Photo Storage pages to showcase some of my kids autograph pages from Disneyland.  These photo pages are great for incorporating more pictures into your albums, without the fuss of scrapbooking them on a whole page (or more).  There are 2 kinds of Photo Storage pages available right now, and a 3rd coming in the NEW Autumn/Winter Idea Book.  One has 6 horizontal 4x6 pockets, the one I'm featuring has 2 ...

CTMH--- Zippidee Layouts

Zippidee is the 4th and Final Paper pack in the Summer Idea Book that I'm working with. CTMH certainly did NOT disappoint this Summer. All 4 packs (Cherry-O, Splendor, Passages and Zippidee) have been super fun to work with. When I saw Zippidee in the Idea Book, it was used primarily with Disney photos. And of course I have a TON of those from our trip to Disneyland last month. BUT- I also saw a great use for it with T-ball and even 4th of July. See how versatile it can be??!! These layouts are from my son's T-ball season. I used the additional Kit of the Month layouts as a guide for these, although I deviated quite a bit. I used the In the Game- Baseball stamp set to complete the T-ball/baseball feel!
