My princess turns 6 today! She is having a princess themed birthday, so I created Princess Castle Invitations.  I used the Once Upon a Princess and Paper Doll Dress Up cartridges.  Her favorite colors:  Cotton Candy Pink, Gypsy Purple, Pear Green.  Then I created her Birthday Card using the Mojo Monday sketch #347 .  I used Lollydoodle papers , Topiary Chevron Ribbon and another princess cut from Once Upon a Princess.  Her party is in a couple weeks still, so I'll have more creations to share then :)

Here's a FAVORITE project of mine for you: This Witch wall hanging was super easy to create!  I took a 9x9 canvas and Mod Podged some newspaper clippings right onto it.  Then I painted the edges black.  I used the "A Child's Year" cricut cartridge to cut the witch out at 7".  I Mod Podged that on top and voila!  30 minute project!! Recently, I was browsing through my Pottery Barn Kids catalog and I came across a super cute Easter sign .  I tore that page out and started to gather my supplies!  This sign sells for $49 at Pottery Barn kids, but I made mine for less than $10!!!!! I had a 16x20 canvas on hand, so I painted it with a shimmery blue paint.  I liked the streaky, distressed look that I got with one coat, so I stuck with it.  I pulled out some Close to my Heart papers in the colors I needed and started browsing my Cricut cartridges for images.  I love that CTMH paper is double sided with patterns, so I can use the subtle "back" side to patterns and get just the right color! I cut the chick from "Once Upon a Princess" using paper from Zippidee, Splendor and Olivia paper packs.  The egg was cut from Doodlecharms with Sophia paper, then cut in a zig zag pattern to resemble the broken egg.  I cut "Happy" from Celebrate with Flourish from the Sophia paper pack and Easter f...

For the next 5 days, I will be sharing some home made gifts that I have been giving for Christmas. Family Name Frames: I originally got this idea from my friend Erica .  I then created one for myself: I took a 10x20 frame, some large cardstock (in the framing section) and cut it to size.  Then I cut out "Patrick"  and all the other little shapes using the Storybook font and used my cuttlebug to emboss it.  "family" was cut with Opposites Attract.  I added a little bling and voila! We get SOOOOOO many compliments on this! Then, I thought these would make great gifts.... so I made one for my brother and his wife:   I am making one for a gift this year, but I cannot reveal who its for.... I've been working on getting our new home set up!  That includes hanging pictures on the walls (I have MORE wall space for that now), accessorizing bookshelves (MORE of those now too) as well as getting our holiday decorations out. I came across THIS post a few weeks ago at Lil'Luna and fell in love with it!  I just knew that I was going to make one myself!  So with all the frame sales this weekend at Michael's and JoAnn's, and the Black Vinyl that I had on hand, I was able to create this in just a couple hours!
