This layout is for my niece's album (slowly plugging along through her first year!).  I added stamped flowers from Hello Blooms, Perfect Fit Frames and Monogram E.   This layout was inspired by one I saw on Pinterest HERE. ...

It has been a while since I've actually played with paper and I have some "Mojo" today and thought I'd play along with a couple challenges :) Here is today's Mojo Monday card: Products used- All CTMH Dakota paper, flowers rolled from Art Philosophy,  Bakers Twine  Chalkboard shapes Chalk pen.   Here's the sketch I used:    Mojo Monday 281 Check back for more challenges that I'm working on!

For the last several years, I have created THREE scrapbooked calendars for family and myself.  I used to do this the traditional scrapbook way, but now I do it the Studio J way! First, I get these awesome 12x12 calendars from CTMH : I stamp the name of the Month, then write in all the dates and finish it by adding some stamping that coordinates with the calendar page :)  I have tried stamping the dates (takes FOOOREVER!!!), I've tried number/date stickers (too time consuming to get those dang things straight)--- so now I just write them in.  Here's what that looks like (from 2011): Now for the Scrapbooked part..... I use STUDIO J !!!!!  Why???  It allows me to create a layout ONCE, then print as many as I want!  I could make 20 calendars (but I won't, haha).  Studio J makes 2-page layouts--- well, sure, it does.  Here's what I do:  1)  Use the same photos on both pages (3 on one page, 3 on the other page) and use them on 2 di...

Welcome to the Roxybonds Scrappers Team Blog Hop!   We will be featuring artwork from the Dakota Paper Pack.   If you have come here from Catherine's blog then you are on the right path.  Your next stop will be Stephanie's blog The Dakota paper pack is one of our most "manly" paper packs in the Idea Book. It also has a western flair to it.  I think my favorite way to use it is in a patriotic theme!  Today I have created a My Creations Star with the Dakota Paper Pack .  These stars are super awesome,  they come with one flat side and one dimensional side.  There's even a hole in the back for hanging it!  I think I'm addicted to making these stars.... To make this star, first I used a black sharpie marker and colored all the edges and creases.  Then I used the Star Pattern from CTMH ( click here for pattern ) and cut out my paper.  I used Bonding Memories glue to adhere the papers on.  Finally, I cut a ...

 Welcome to the Close To My Heart Stamp of the Month Blog Hop for November 2012 featuring Capture the Date Capture the Date features 72 stamps full of Numbers and the Months!  Perfect for all kinds of projects!  If you have come here from Lori's Blog y ou are on the right path. Today I have created a birthday card for my little man who is turning 7 this month!  I was going for something big-boy and thought I'd play with the numbers on Capture the Date a little bit.  I used some scraps from the Dakota paper pack and Slate cardstock for my base.  I arranged the numbers on a block, then stamped tone on tone in slate.  I added the number 7 from the Irresistibles Houndstooth Alphabet set and placed it on top of a chipboard die cut from the Artiste Collection.  I added some Outdoor Denim twill ribbon and Durables Round Studs for accents :) The November Stamp of the Month is available November 1-30.  With ...

Welcome back to Day 12 of the Artiste in August Blog Hop!!  You should be arriving from Amy's Blog .  Your next stop will be PAMELA'S BLOG.   Today I am featuring one more card from Artiste. We created a card like this at convention and I wanted to replicate it for my August card class.  The card shape, with a tiny heart at the bottom, was found on page 36 (Cut at 4").  "LOVE" was found on page 66 (cut at 1 1/4").  The heart was also from page 66.  I used pattern paper from Flirty- dark pink, Dakota- grey, Clementine- Twilight pattern and La Belle Vie- light pink.  I added a grey gem to the center of one of the hearts.  Love was cut from some Twilight textured cardstock.  I sure am glad that CTMH brought back every cardstock color in bulk.  I really need to stock up again!  I love when a card comes together and I realize there was NO STAMPING on it!   Cricut Artiste- now available!   The fabu...

Welcome back to Day 11 of the Artiste in August Blog Hop!!  You should be arriving from Amy's Blog .  Your next stop will be PAMELA'S BLOG.   Today I am featuring another card from Artiste.  This HELLO card is found on page 51 in the handbook.  I also used a rosette from page 50 in the handbook for the front of this card. I cut the card at 5 1/2" so that the card would be A2 size.  I cut the card in black, then used the Dakota paper pack for the patterns.  I cut the HELLO part at 5 1/2" as well. The rosettes were cut at 1", you need to adhere 2 together, then put a brad or button over the center.  These rosettes are super easy to use because they are already scored for you- WOOHOO!  Next time, I will cut them a little bigger, but they were the perfect size for my card :)     Cricut Artiste- now available!   The fabulous Cricut Artiste Collection! is now available to order!
