Cruise Layouts

It's hard to believe that our Cruise to the South Caribbean was over three months ago!  WOW!

Prior to going on the trip, CTMH sent cruise earners a BIG BOX FULL of supplies!  Most of it was supplies to create our Cruise Scrapbook!  CTMH created 10 layouts, pre cut with instructions for us.  We got an alphabet stamp set, some Chevron Ribbon, and ALL the embellishments we needed to create the 10 layouts.  Plus we got an exclusive stamp set, an album, a Studio J 5-pack and a Cruise Shirt.  SPOILED I tell you!

((What paper pack do you think CTMH used for our Cruise???))

When I sat down to create the layouts myself, I was stunned!  The layouts were BEAUTIFUL!  AND I learned some fun new techniques :)  I started off by following the instructions to a T, and then started veering off on my own.

((Think you know what paper pack they used??))

It's CLAIRE!!!!!  My first thought about Claire is not "cruise, beach, vacation" but see how WELL it works, adding texture and a little pattern to the layouts.  CTMH uses a LOT of cardstock, in various colors, in these layouts and, of course, LOTS of stamping too!

This layout is of all the Cruise Earners- over 100 fabulous Cruise Earners, 20-something First Timers!  The trip was not complete without my fabulous friend (and downline) Keeley!

To create the Bird on the left page:  I sponged pigment ink onto the stamp set, to make one stamp multicolored.

Our First stop was St. Croix, where we did a bike tour of the coast :)

Flowers are all stamped using pigment inks, and rock 'n rolled in a second, darker, color.  (Then hand cut)

Second stop was St. Kitts,  so beautiful!
You can create your own patterned paper by stamping images- like I did here with the Lagoon cardstock and randomly stamping flowers in Colonial White pigment ink.

I'll be sharing some more of my cruise layouts soon.... stay tuned!

Great layouts. I would have never thought of using Claire but they turned out perfect!

Absolutely beautiful! I love how CTMH designed this "outside the (Claire) box." Thanks for sharing with us @ H2H!

CTMH- Everything ABC's Blog Hop- E is for Easter

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop! For this hop we will be featuring the letter E. This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has chosen as their E element will be featured in their post. If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start at the beginning at Amber's blog ~ Scrapper's Therapy  If you came from Shelly ~ Just One Piece then you're on the right track! E is for EASTER You may recall a few months ago, I posted a couple layouts from the baby album I am making for my niece.... well she's now 3 months old and I only finished through 4 months!  I have some work to do..... Today I created an Easter Layout using THIS layout as my inspiration.  The Chantilly paper pack is perfectly girly and springy!  I cut two strips of the green pattern, then sliced it up to make it look like grass.  Using Art Philosophy, I cut out a bunch of different eggs in 1 1/2", 1 3/4" and ...

CTMH- Washi Tape Card

Do you WASHI???   Washi Tape is one of the new and super trendy products being used.  I'm not afraid to jump on the bandwagon :)  CTMH now has a Slate Polka-Dot Washi Tape (and I HOPE there are lots more to come!!!)  I also have picked up a couple others at Michaels recently. This weeks Color My Heart Color Dare is JUNIPER.  I decided to use Juniper as the accent color for my card today. I used the black banner stamp set from Artiste Kudos , CTMH's Slate Washi Tape , CTMH's Silver Shimmer Trim and a black arrow washi tape.  The sentiment is from Artiste Birthday , stamped in Juniper, then popped on foam tape. A simple card like this, called for some dressing up of the inside too.  I stamped Happy Birthday from Perfect Fit Birthday and added some Slate Washi Tape to the bottom. Head over to Color My Heart to check out the other color dare entries :)
