Heart2Heart Challenges- New Beginnings

How many of you say to yourself "I need to use what I have before I buy more" when it comes to your scrapbooking supplies??  Well, you're not alone!  In fact, I'm pretty sure everyone says that!

In this NEW YEAR, it's  all about NEW beginnings The first challenge at Heart2Heart is to use something NEW on your project: maybe a new product, a new technique, a new baby, or anything that is NEW to you.  Be sure to use some CTMH products in your creation, explain how your project fits the NEW challenge, and of course be sure to mention your favorite challenge blog, Heart 2 Heart!

A NEW product to me this month is Babycakes!  While I don't have a "baby" myself, I do have a baby (ok, she's one now) niece.  I finally got a chance to scrapbook some of her NEWborn pictures!

This layout is based off of the layout in the Workshop on the Go kit, but I changed to colors to make it more girly (instead of neutral).  I also changed it to fit the photos that I had.

This is one of the final (ALMOST DONE) layouts in my niece's first year album that I'm making her.  This is the same layout pattern- the featured layout in the Workshop on the Go Kit, modified again to make it more girly, and to fit the photos that my sister-in-law had of my niece.
Products Used:
Babycakes Workshop on the Go Kit

Silver Shimmer Trim
Polka Dot Washi tape
Pearl Opaques

Make sure you stop by Heart2Heart and play along with our NEW BEGINNINGS challenge!

CTMH- Everything ABC's Blog Hop- E is for Easter

Whatever the crafter has chosen as their E element will be featured in their post. If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start at the beginning at Amber's blog ~ Scrapper's Therapy  If you came from Shelly ~ Just One Piece then you're on the right track! E is for EASTER You may recall a few months ago, I posted a couple layouts from the baby album I am making for my niece.... well she's now 3 months old and I only finished through 4 months!  I have some work to do..... Today I created an Easter Layout using THIS layout as my inspiration.  The Chantilly paper pack is perfectly girly and springy!  I cut two strips of the green pattern, then sliced it up to make it look like grass.  Using Art Philosophy, I cut out a bunch of different eggs in 1 1/2", 1 3/4" and ...
