Today I created a simple I Love You card!  I trimmed out my card base with Red Shimmer Trim.  Then I took a piece of White Daisy cardstock and ran it through my Cuttlebug with an embossing folder- swiss dots.  Next I used the Honey Triangles & Ruby Chevron Washi Tape, creating strips in the center of my card.  I stamped I Love You in Ruby, on a shape cut with Artbooking.  Lastly, I stamped the inside of the card with hearts.  
 A Quick and Easy Valentine card!

Heart 2 Heart Challenge- In the Spotlight

This week on the Heart2Heart Challenge blog we are putting something (or someone) special “in the spotlight".  Have you heard of this technique??  I had not... so I had to look it up.  I found lots of great info on this blog HERE.   

Here's my Spotlight card:

I used a NEW stamp set:  Hello Wonderful (available February 1st).  I stamped one layer in Ruby, then a second layer in Slate.  I used a heart punch on the Slate layer to expose the Ruby on the underneath.  Pretty quick and easy Valentine card :)

 Today let's talk about IVY LANE!  I just love the patterns and colors in this paper pack.  I think it's perfect for Valentines day, BUT it's pretty versatile as well. 

I created this layout for my team swap.  I actually used Cricut Craft Room for the first time on this one as well (to cut the title and save paper).   I used the Ivy Lane Workshop on the Go Kit, Pink Glitter Paper and the new Paper Fundamentals Basics Assortment.  WOW, those are some AWESOME new papers right there!  The Pink Glitter Paper- of course I LOVE!  The Paper Fundamentals are incredible-- 20 double sided sheets with the same design on both sides.  One side has a glossy resist pattern, while the other side repeats the pattern in white.  SO COOL!  I also used the new Purple Glitter Gems and Metallic Bakers Twine.  I cut an overlay from Artbooking for my layout as well. 

I also created a card for my team swap.  I used a pattern from Make it From your Heart Vol 2.  The stamp set used here is a new one: Mother's Day.  How awesome is this sentiment?!?!?!  Again I used the Pink Glitter Paper (this might become an obsession) and Metallic Bakers Twine.

Today lets talk about LOLLYDOODLE!  What a fun name for a paperpack.  It screams whimsy, bright colors and girly!

I created this card for my girls to make at a class.  I used a pattern from Make It From Your Heart.  I added some Teal Shimmer Trim, Blue/Green Epoxy Bubbles and a stamped image from Love You Forever (retired stamps) that I colored with our markers.

Today lets talk about SKYLARK!  I love the muted, neutral colors of this paper pack.  This is the featured paper pack in the Spring Consultant Kit.  

Today I created a card using some scraps from Skylark.  I used all three patterns, and both sides of the papers. The stamped image is from Banner Wishes, and it sits on a piece of kraft cardstock that I stamped with Universal Backgrounds.  I added some black hemp stitched at the top as well.  

This fits Heart2Hearts challenge for the week:  Two Faced
