Artbooking in August- 2-page Layouts

Are you ready to get creative??  Let 40 talented CTMH consultants inspire you with their creativity this month.   Each Monday in August, these ladies will be posting artwork to their blogs and you can follow their blogs or set your alarm to make sure you do not miss a post!

Their challenge was to create 4 different projects using the Cricut Artbooking cartridge and any CTMH paper pack.  ( yes - we all have retired paper packs in our 'stuff' and this cartridge is perfect for using up paper!!)  Their mission was to design each of the following:

1. 2 page layout
2. Card
3. Mini Book
4. Home decor or giftable item

If you have arrived here from Maureen's blog, you're on the right path.  Your next stop will be Linda's Blog.

I have two layouts created with Artbooking to share with you today!

4th of July- For this layout, I used Cranberry  & Black Cardstock and a patterned paper from Pro Player.  I added some of my favorite Silver Shimmer Trim.
This layout features an overlay found on the "J" key.  I cut it at 10.5 inches and then cut it in half to span both pages.  I also cut the rocket shape from the "K" key.  This is a layout from the new Make it From Your Heart Vol. 2 book.

Here's some detail of the overlay.  You can see that I added some silver Glitz Glitter Glue in some of the circles, and outlined the stars with my black pen.

First Day- This next layout is one my ladies created at my All Day Crop yesterday.  It features Kraft paper, Cranberry Cardstock and patterned paper from Sarita and (retired) Cruisin.  I also added some of my favorite Silver Shimmer Trim and Red Shimmer Trim.  I used another pattern from Make it From Your Heart Vol. 2.
This layout features a couple of accent pieces found in Artbooking!  The First Day Title is from the "Z" key.  The Arrows are on the "6" key.  I cut some filmstrip looking photo mats at 10.5", to make 2x2 photo openings.  I then cut the filmstrips down from 4 photo slots to 2 slots on the left side and 3 on the right side.
The journal card, stamped with School Years  is cut with Artiste and the scalloped circle is cut from Art Philosophy.

My cricut sure was chirping away cutting these page kits for 16 people :)

The next hopper on our list is Linda's Blog.  I know you'll be inspired by her and the rest of the hoppers!  HAVE FUN!!!

Both layouts are great. I especially like how you split the first overlay between the two pages. I will probably be scraplifting that idea. Thanks for sharing.

Great 4th of July layout!--I really like how you placed the overlay over the middle of the two pages and the black pen and silver glitz embellishments. Thanks for the inspiration!

CTMH- Everything ABC's Blog Hop- E is for Easter

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop! For this hop we will be featuring the letter E. This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has chosen as their E element will be featured in their post. If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start at the beginning at Amber's blog ~ Scrapper's Therapy  If you came from Shelly ~ Just One Piece then you're on the right track! E is for EASTER You may recall a few months ago, I posted a couple layouts from the baby album I am making for my niece.... well she's now 3 months old and I only finished through 4 months!  I have some work to do..... Today I created an Easter Layout using THIS layout as my inspiration.  The Chantilly paper pack is perfectly girly and springy!  I cut two strips of the green pattern, then sliced it up to make it look like grass.  Using Art Philosophy, I cut out a bunch of different eggs in 1 1/2", 1 3/4" and ...
