Artbooking in August- Birthday Gift Bag

Welcome to the final week of the Artbooking in August Blog Hop. Last week's artwork was so amazing and this week over 35 creative consultants are at it again!

Their challenge was to create 4 different projects using the Cricut Artbooking cartridge and any CTMH paper pack.  Their mission was to design each of the following:

1. 2 page layout
2. Card
3. Mini Book

4. Home decor or 'giftable' item

They were able to choose what to make and when to post it. AND if they wanted to add stamps to their designs, that was OK.  This week they will add another great design to the challenge and I am anxious to see what everyone has created!

If you have arrived here from Vickie's Blog you're on the right path.  Your next stop will be Linda's Blog.
Remember this is a circular blog hop and if you get lost or confused along the way, the list is posted on Adeline's blog here.

For my final project, I decided to use Artbooking to create a gift bag for a birthday present.  I have a bunch of plain Kraft gift bags that I bought as a set a while back, I thought I'd dress it up!

Using Cotton Candy Cardstock, I cut an overlay from key "0" at 10", which was the height of my bag.  I then cut out the shaped image from key "9" in black cardstock.  I added my sentiment using the "happy" and "Birthday" keys.  A big Tulle bow on the handles tops it off well!

What's inside????  A Birthday gift for my daughter's Kindergarten Teacher :)

The next hopper on our list is Linda's Blog. I know you'll be inspired by her and the rest of the hoppers!  HAVE FUN!!!

CTMH- Everything ABC's Blog Hop- E is for Easter

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop! For this hop we will be featuring the letter E. This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has chosen as their E element will be featured in their post. If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start at the beginning at Amber's blog ~ Scrapper's Therapy  If you came from Shelly ~ Just One Piece then you're on the right track! E is for EASTER You may recall a few months ago, I posted a couple layouts from the baby album I am making for my niece.... well she's now 3 months old and I only finished through 4 months!  I have some work to do..... Today I created an Easter Layout using THIS layout as my inspiration.  The Chantilly paper pack is perfectly girly and springy!  I cut two strips of the green pattern, then sliced it up to make it look like grass.  Using Art Philosophy, I cut out a bunch of different eggs in 1 1/2", 1 3/4" and ...

CTMH- Washi Tape Card

Do you WASHI???   Washi Tape is one of the new and super trendy products being used.  I'm not afraid to jump on the bandwagon :)  CTMH now has a Slate Polka-Dot Washi Tape (and I HOPE there are lots more to come!!!)  I also have picked up a couple others at Michaels recently. This weeks Color My Heart Color Dare is JUNIPER.  I decided to use Juniper as the accent color for my card today. I used the black banner stamp set from Artiste Kudos , CTMH's Slate Washi Tape , CTMH's Silver Shimmer Trim and a black arrow washi tape.  The sentiment is from Artiste Birthday , stamped in Juniper, then popped on foam tape. A simple card like this, called for some dressing up of the inside too.  I stamped Happy Birthday from Perfect Fit Birthday and added some Slate Washi Tape to the bottom. Head over to Color My Heart to check out the other color dare entries :)
