CTMH-- Sweetheart Layouts

I had my monthly Workshop Kit of the Month class this past Sunday working with the Sweetheart Kit.  This kit was definitely a popular one, drawing in a larger crowd :)  At the class, I taught the Hidden Photo Magic trick from the Magic Book!

Here is my feature layout:

I switched out the liquid applique for the pink pompom ribbon to "string" my pennant title from.  The other ladies loved this idea and did the same!

Here is the additional layout:

On the right side, there is a button sewn onto the photo on the left.  This photo is the "hidden one".
Here is the version with the photo hidden.

I obviously still have to journal on this page, where I will tell the story of how my Hubby and I took the kids on their first dates :)

And for my final layout with Sweetheart today, I used a sketch from Sketchy Thursdays.  It was perfect for these pictures taken of me and my babies on both my Birthday dinners this month :)
I opted to use the liquid applique this time for my banner title and I like how it came out!
OH and those super cute little flat accordion flowers.... I found a tutorial for that by Nicole HERE

CTMH- Washi Tape Card

Do you WASHI???   Washi Tape is one of the new and super trendy products being used.  I'm not afraid to jump on the bandwagon :)  CTMH now has a Slate Polka-Dot Washi Tape (and I HOPE there are lots more to come!!!)  I also have picked up a couple others at Michaels recently. This weeks Color My Heart Color Dare is JUNIPER.  I decided to use Juniper as the accent color for my card today. I used the black banner stamp set from Artiste Kudos , CTMH's Slate Washi Tape , CTMH's Silver Shimmer Trim and a black arrow washi tape.  The sentiment is from Artiste Birthday , stamped in Juniper, then popped on foam tape. A simple card like this, called for some dressing up of the inside too.  I stamped Happy Birthday from Perfect Fit Birthday and added some Slate Washi Tape to the bottom. Head over to Color My Heart to check out the other color dare entries :)

CTMH-- September Stamp of the Month- Fall Favori

Welcome to the Close To My Heart Stamp of the Month Blog Hop for September 2012, featuring Fall Favorites   All artwork on the hop will feature Fall Favorites!  This is a set of 11 stamps and it's really making me want FALL---- NOW!!!  How cute is this set!?  If you have come here from  Susan's Blog y ou are on the right path. For my card today, I used the new Clementine paper pack, which is so versatile!  I cut the tag from Art Philosophy and stamped Fall Favorites in Brown Staz-on ink, then colored the pumpkin and leaves with my new markers.  I found that they don't blend and shade terribly well on Kraft cardstock- but the color showed up.  I added some of my favorite Burlap Ribbon to the card :) Do you think I like pumpkin pie???  Just a little bit ;) The September Stamp of the Month- Fall Favorites is available September 1-30th.  With any $50 purchase, this set is yours for $5....
