Beginning of School Blog Hop-- CTMH Teacher Card

Thanks for joining us for the Beginning of School Blog Hop!

You should have arrived from Jessica's Blog  The hop begins on Kathryn's blog if you'd like to start at the top.

We have 16 fabulous designers all ready to show you a "school" creation! This is a two-day hop. so some will have a second project posted tomorrow, so be sure to stop by again!

For the past 10 years, back to school has meant Teacher meetings, getting ready for the school year, selling PE clothes, and seeing the innocence of the 7th graders when they arrive on the first day.

This year, Back to School has a whole new meaning----- my little man is entering Kindergarten!!!!  I am nervous, yet excited for him!  I'm sure I'll be a mess the day of, so I plan to take part of the day off to join him for his first day!

I am also very excited to create things for his new teacher!  I have created her a card to go with her gift (check back tomorrow).

For this card, I used some fabulous NEW Close to My Heart products!
*6x6 Kraft Die Cut Card--- isn't this kraft card just Kool!
*Typeset Level 2 papers--- perfect for any school project!
*School Rocks- I stamped the school house image in Cocoa ink, then used a combination of makers and waterbrush with ink to color in the image.
*Milepost Shapes- I can't get enough of these corrugated stars!  Swipe them over your ink pad to give some rustic color!
*Newsprint Rub-ons-- I love these!  How cool do they look along the side of the card flap with her name on it!

On the inside of the card, I printed out THIS printable from Eighteen25.  I will have my son sign it before we give it to her!

OK- Time to HOP on over to Tina's blog for School time FuN!!!!

I'm sure your son's teacher is just going to love the card you made her. Having been a Pre-K teacher.... it's always nice to know that they parents of your students appreciate all you do and you know that those are the parents who are there if you need em' Can't wait to see what you made her as a gift I'm sure it's going to be great.

Always a pleasure.

~*~ Holiday Blog Hop ~*~

Welcome to the Paper Secrets Holiday Blog Hop. I made a couple of things to share with you today. I created this lovely paper tree by punching a LOT of 1 1/4" circles of Mistletoe Paper, then used pearl floral pins to secure them in rows to a styrofoam cone.  As I neared the top, I had to use some adhesive so that they did not flare out, but sit in the cone shape.  At the top, I stamped 3 stars and adhered them to the top of the cone.  Supplies: Styrofoam cone Pearl Floral Pins CTMH Mistletoe level 2 paper CTMH Mistletoe Creative Basics paper D1320 Shining Star Stamps I created a second paper tree using instructions from Tracey Mason .  I created an accordion flower with a stamped sentiment for my topper on this one.   Supplies: Styrofoam Cone CTMH Mistletoe Level 2 papers K& Co paper D1380 Just for the Holidays Stamps I created a total of four paper trees to sit upon my mantel!  The "subway art" was a free printable from eighteen25 ....

April Showers Blog Hop

Thanks for joining me for another weekend of Blog Hoppin Fun!   If you have come here from Tina's Blog , you are on the right path!  Keep on hoppin until the end :) April Showers is our theme, and I went with the "shower" theme and made baby cards for baby showers!  I am addicted to making these stacked present cards lately!  I first saw one that my friend Jayma made, who found it on Vicki's blog.  Recently, I saw a couple cute ones on Haley's blog too.   I cut my paper strips at 1.25 tall x 3, 2.25 and 1.5 long.  Add a ribbon down the center, or just a bow on top and you're set!  I used the Sweet Baby stamp set and Polka Dot Alphabet for my sentiments.   Now I'm all set for the next baby shower..... (though I don't know any preggos right now).   This design is also great for Birthday Cards too!!!!  I made two each of these cards and stamped Birthday sentiments on them :) Supplies: BOY: Miracle Level 2 Sweet Baby...
