*~* Summer Begins Blog Hop *~*

Thanks for joining us for the Summer Begins Blog Hop!

You should have arrived from Leah's Blog  The hop begins on Kathryn's blog if you'd like to start at the top.

We have 16 fabulous designers all ready to show you a SUMMERY creation! This is a two-day hop. so some will have a second project posted tomorrow, so be sure to stop by again!

For me, as a teacher, summer begins when school gets out!  However, now that we have a POOL at our house, summer begins when its warm enough to get in the pool :-)  Sad to say that here in "sunny" California- we've only been in our pool twice and it was freezing!  This weekend it is warming up though....

Today I want to share with you a Studio J layout that I created with pics of my kiddos in the pool for the first time!  I used CTMH's Love your Layout video as my guide and tried to follow it pretty closely!

Here's CTMH's sample layout from the video:

And here's mine :)  I changed out the papers to work better for my pool pictures.  I did create the pinwheel flower using ribbon, stickease and brads.  I also did some layering of the embellishments like they did.  And I added some color to my journaling as well.
Best part----- DONE in about 20 minutes :)

What do you think???

Head on over to Studio J and create YOUR version of June's Love your Layout!  THEN order your FREE Jpeg!!!!!  How great!

OK, I truly need to get more digitally up to date. The digital Layouts are so great and look so much like you added all the embellies by hand. TFS and for participating in the hop.

CTMH- Everything ABC's Blog Hop- E is for Easter

Welcome to the Everything ABC's Blog Hop! For this hop we will be featuring the letter E. This may be the name of a paper, a stamp set or an embellishment. Whatever the crafter has chosen as their E element will be featured in their post. If you have just hopped onto my blog, you can start at the beginning at Amber's blog ~ Scrapper's Therapy  If you came from Shelly ~ Just One Piece then you're on the right track! E is for EASTER You may recall a few months ago, I posted a couple layouts from the baby album I am making for my niece.... well she's now 3 months old and I only finished through 4 months!  I have some work to do..... Today I created an Easter Layout using THIS layout as my inspiration.  The Chantilly paper pack is perfectly girly and springy!  I cut two strips of the green pattern, then sliced it up to make it look like grass.  Using Art Philosophy, I cut out a bunch of different eggs in 1 1/2", 1 3/4" and ...

CTMH- Washi Tape Card

Do you WASHI???   Washi Tape is one of the new and super trendy products being used.  I'm not afraid to jump on the bandwagon :)  CTMH now has a Slate Polka-Dot Washi Tape (and I HOPE there are lots more to come!!!)  I also have picked up a couple others at Michaels recently. This weeks Color My Heart Color Dare is JUNIPER.  I decided to use Juniper as the accent color for my card today. I used the black banner stamp set from Artiste Kudos , CTMH's Slate Washi Tape , CTMH's Silver Shimmer Trim and a black arrow washi tape.  The sentiment is from Artiste Birthday , stamped in Juniper, then popped on foam tape. A simple card like this, called for some dressing up of the inside too.  I stamped Happy Birthday from Perfect Fit Birthday and added some Slate Washi Tape to the bottom. Head over to Color My Heart to check out the other color dare entries :)
