CTMH Convention Recap

Close To My Heart Convention week is my favorite week of the year!  It's the most wonderful time of the year.  What makes it even better is that it's held at Disneyland- my favorite place!  Double the fun!!

This year, I headed down a day early so I could spend time with my friends from all over the US.  These ladies are some of my dearest friends, they're inspiring and supportive.  We spent the day by the pool then headed to dinner.

One of my favorite parts of convention is checking in!  We get our name tag, ribbons and agendas.  This year, I got a "Presenter" because I taught a class, "Director", "Hawaii 2015" for earning the incentive trip & "CTMH 5K" for the 5k fun run through Disney.  I also was surprised to get an Award Recipient pin in my bag!!!!!

Leadership Day was Wednesday.  The leaders of CTMH get to come a day early and learn a little more about how to better serve their teams.  These are all the leaders on MY team!  HOW AWESOME!!!

Wednesday is also Team Meeting day.  My team and I go to my upline's team meeting.  Here, several of us Directors were asked to speak on a topic.  We were given magic wands and a Fairy Godmother hat, as well as a crown necklace. We are so spoiled by our upline!

We also attended my second upline- Karen Morris' team Open House.

The theme for convention this year was "Up".  Remember, Adventure is out there!

Thursday's General Session was fun, exciting and uplifting!
One of my team members, April, won a trip to SLC in the fall for our Album Retreat!  I'm so excited for her, and of course will be there with her :)

As general session ends, we get our Convention Bag- isn't this soooo beautiful!

And of course our own copy of the Annual Inspirations Idea Book.  I cannot wait for you to get your hands on one too!

The girls and I had to immediately dive in and drool all over our new Idea Books!  So much fun!

Thursday's creative session had us make this AMAZING Layout!  I love this!!!!!
You'll see our new Paper Fundamentals designs on this page, as well as our new colors featured!

This is my WHOLE TEAM that attended convention!  How lucky am I to have 9 downline and 3 of my sideline sisters there with me!  <3 font="">

Thursday night is Director's Dinner.  Keeley and I attended and sat with some team members.  Our director's gift this year is this beautiful Make it From Your Heart poster pictured here!

The lovely Monica Wihongi, CCO

Friday morning, these beautiful Hearts were sitting in the Director's chairs, I'm so thrilled to have a NEW Team Sign!

Friday morning general session brought us Christmas Morning, along with the NEW Holiday Expressions Idea Book- where all Holiday (Halloween through Christmas) items are featured!

Friday afternoon it was showtime for me!  I was asked to teach a class at convention about Sharing the Opportunity!  What a fun experience that was for me :)  I was able to teach everyone at convention how to share our passion for CTMH with others.  I also got to show them the BRAND NEW CONSULTANT KIT that will be available on August 1st!  AND I got to present the new Straight to the top program that will begin this fall.  I had a blast teaching at convention!

Friday night was the awards banquet.  I was honored to receive 10th place for Team Building!  That's 10th place in all of North America!  So thrilled to share that honor with my downline Keeley, we both tied for 10th place!

Saturday morning, it was time for the Operation Smile 5K fun run.  We started in Downtown Disney at 5:30am, and ran through Disneyland, then California Adventure.  I ran the whole way- woohoo!  It was a blast!

Close To My Heart Convention came to a Close on Saturday afternoon with a Q&A session with Jeanette Lynton.  This is always one of the highlights for me for convention.  Jeanette Lynton, founder and CEO, is such a beautiful, inspiring woman.  She tells the greatest, funniest stories, has such eloquent and motivating words and she brings the house down with her charm.

The day after convention, Sunday, I spent the day with my teammates hanging out at California Adventure!  We rode rides, had a delicious lunch, rode more rides and had special viewing of the World Of Color Show!  I love spending time with these girls!!!

All in all, a FABULOUS week spent with the best of friends!  And at the happiest place on earth!  What could be better????

If you've made it this far, and want to join in on the fun and join us next year at DisneyWorld, EMAIL ME!  Let's chat about the opportunity to be a Close To My Heart Consultant and do what I do!

~*~ Holiday Blog Hop ~*~

Welcome to the Paper Secrets Holiday Blog Hop. I made a couple of things to share with you today. I created this lovely paper tree by punching a LOT of 1 1/4" circles of Mistletoe Paper, then used pearl floral pins to secure them in rows to a styrofoam cone.  As I neared the top, I had to use some adhesive so that they did not flare out, but sit in the cone shape.  At the top, I stamped 3 stars and adhered them to the top of the cone.  Supplies: Styrofoam cone Pearl Floral Pins CTMH Mistletoe level 2 paper CTMH Mistletoe Creative Basics paper D1320 Shining Star Stamps I created a second paper tree using instructions from Tracey Mason .  I created an accordion flower with a stamped sentiment for my topper on this one.   Supplies: Styrofoam Cone CTMH Mistletoe Level 2 papers K& Co paper D1380 Just for the Holidays Stamps I created a total of four paper trees to sit upon my mantel!  The "subway art" was a free printable from eighteen25 ....

April Showers Blog Hop

Thanks for joining me for another weekend of Blog Hoppin Fun!   If you have come here from Tina's Blog , you are on the right path!  Keep on hoppin until the end :) April Showers is our theme, and I went with the "shower" theme and made baby cards for baby showers!  I am addicted to making these stacked present cards lately!  I first saw one that my friend Jayma made, who found it on Vicki's blog.  Recently, I saw a couple cute ones on Haley's blog too.   I cut my paper strips at 1.25 tall x 3, 2.25 and 1.5 long.  Add a ribbon down the center, or just a bow on top and you're set!  I used the Sweet Baby stamp set and Polka Dot Alphabet for my sentiments.   Now I'm all set for the next baby shower..... (though I don't know any preggos right now).   This design is also great for Birthday Cards too!!!!  I made two each of these cards and stamped Birthday sentiments on them :) Supplies: BOY: Miracle Level 2 Sweet Baby...
