Lollydoodle Card in a Box

This week's challenge over at Heart2Heart is "In the Garden". 

I got to thinking about how I could incorporate lots of flowers into a project.  Then I remembered that I've been dying to try the "card in a box" card...

I have seen these Cards in a Box everywhere so I looked up some awesome directions and gave it a try! 

I used the Lollydoodle paper pack for this one.  One of the b&t papers has whimsical flowers all over it, so I started cutting them out.  These box cards are SUPER EASY to assemble- and FUN too!




I used Artiste to cut the shape for my sentiment from Joyful Birthday, and backed it with Green Glitter Paper.  

Here's what the card looks like when closed, like you would pull it out of an envelope.


And a view from the top, where you can see how the flower bunches are built on the strips that go in the middle of the box.

CTMH- Everything ABC's Blog Hop- E is for Easter

CTMH- Washi Tape Card

Do you WASHI???   Washi Tape is one of the new and super trendy products being used.  I'm not afraid to jump on the bandwagon :)  CTMH now has a Slate Polka-Dot Washi Tape (and I HOPE there are lots more to come!!!)  I also have picked up a couple others at Michaels recently. This weeks Color My Heart Color Dare is JUNIPER.  I decided to use Juniper as the accent color for my card today. I used the black banner stamp set from Artiste Kudos , CTMH's Slate Washi Tape , CTMH's Silver Shimmer Trim and a black arrow washi tape.  The sentiment is from Artiste Birthday , stamped in Juniper, then popped on foam tape. A simple card like this, called for some dressing up of the inside too.  I stamped Happy Birthday from Perfect Fit Birthday and added some Slate Washi Tape to the bottom.
