June Stamp of the Month Blog Hop- KABOOM

Welcome to the Close To My Heart Stamp of the Month Blog Hop for June 2014- KABOOM If you have come here from Michelle's Blog , you're on the right path.  This month we have over 50 amazing artists' blogs for you to visit. This stamp set just screams Party, Celebration and 4th of July to me.  So I grabbed a couple photos from last July 4th and got to work on a layout! I used the Jubilee Paper Pack , some dimensional elements stars, sparkles , silver shimmer trim and of course Kaboom!  The sketch for this layout came from Sketch Savvy I used several of the stamps in this set on my layout.  I stamped the fireworks along the left side.  I stamped 3 tickets.  I stamped Fun & You're the Bomb on pieces cut from Art Philosophy , along with Pow, Bam, Bang on white circles and added those all onto the star/circle overlay.  The overlay was cut from Artbooking , then trimmed into a single "row" of circles....

This year, I took my mom on this amazing adventurous trip.  These are the layouts I created in Studio J, that I will put in her album :) All of these layouts use the Skylark Kit.  I am a huge fan of Studio J because of how quickly and easily the layouts come together.  Give it a try!!! Princess Birthday

My princess turns 6 today! She is having a princess themed birthday, so I created Princess Castle Invitations.  I used the Once Upon a Princess and Paper Doll Dress Up cartridges.  Her favorite colors:  Cotton Candy Pink, Gypsy Purple, Pear Green.  Then I created her Birthday Card using the Mojo Monday sketch #347 .  I used Lollydoodle papers , Topiary Chevron Ribbon and another princess cut from Once Upon a Princess.  Her party is in a couple weeks still, so I'll have more creations to share then :)

Lollydoodle Card in a Box

This week's challenge over at Heart2Heart is "In the Garden".  I got to thinking about how I could incorporate lots of flowers into a project.  Then I remembered that I've been dying to try the "card in a box" card... I have seen these Cards in a Box everywhere so I looked up some awesome directions and gave it a try!  I used the Lollydoodle paper pack for this one.  One of the b&t papers has whimsical flowers all over it, so I started cutting them out.  These box cards are SUPER EASY to assemble- and FUN too! I used Artiste to cut the shape for my sentiment from Joyful Birthday , and backed it with Green Glitter Paper.   Here's what the card looks like when closed, like you would pull it out of an envelope. And a view from the top, where you can see how the flower bunches are built on the strips that go in the middle of the box.   Hop on over to Heart2Heart Challenges to see what my Design Team friends create...

Hoo-ray! She's 5 Lollydoodle Layout

This week's challenge at Heart2Heart Challenges is Take 5!  For this challenge you can use 5 different items on your project, use 5 of one item on your project, or center your project around something that's 5.   Well this little lady will be 6 at the end of the month, so I thought I would create a layout featuring her 5th birthday.  For this layout, I used a pattern from the Magic How-To book .  I used the Lollydoodle Paper pack as well as Green Glitter Paper .  I cut a large decorative circle, decorative border and "birthday girl" from Artiste.  I embellished with Silver Shimmer Trim , Lollydoodle Compliments , Lollydoodle Assortment , Flamingo Dots & My Crush Best Day Ever assortment .   Head on over to Heart2Heart challenges to see how the rest of the design team interpreted the Take 5 Challenge!
