CTMH-- September Stamp of the Month- Fall Favori

Welcome to the Close To My Heart Stamp of the Month Blog Hop for September 2012, featuring Fall Favorites   All artwork on the hop will feature Fall Favorites!  This is a set of 11 stamps and it's really making me want FALL---- NOW!!!  How cute is this set!?  If you have come here from  Susan's Blog y ou are on the right path. For my card today, I used the new Clementine paper pack, which is so versatile!  I cut the tag from Art Philosophy and stamped Fall Favorites in Brown Staz-on ink, then colored the pumpkin and leaves with my new markers.  I found that they don't blend and shade terribly well on Kraft cardstock- but the color showed up.  I added some of my favorite Burlap Ribbon to the card :) Do you think I like pumpkin pie???  Just a little bit ;) The September Stamp of the Month- Fall Favorites is available September 1-30th.  With any $50 purchase, this set is yours for $5....

Welcome back to Day 29 of the Artiste in August Blog Hop!!  You should be arriving from Amy's Blog .  Your next stop will be PAMELA'S BLOG.   Today we are featuring the Handle Top Box found on page 44 in the handbook (8 in the assembly book).  This box measures 3" wide and 4" tall, plus about 2" deep when assembled.  This would make a great gift box as well!  I cut the box in Kraft Cardstock, then tied some black tulle ribbon at the top.  I used the La Belle Vie Mauve color and black to cut an accent piece (page 44 also) for the box. Very simple and elegant- don't you think?? National Stamping Month Special: To celebrate National St...

CTMH-- Artiste in August- Day 22- Coffin box/card

Welcome back to Day 22 of the Artiste in August Blog Hop!!  You should be arriving from Amy's Blog .  Your next stop will be PAMELA'S BLOG.   Today we are featuring the Coffin Box on page 76 in the handbook (58 in the assembly book.) I wanted to do something a little different with this.  I thought the coffin shape would make a great CARD!  So I cut the lid of the coffin box at 8 3/4" (fit to page) in black cardstock.  I cut off the sides at the score marks, all except for on the left side.  I cut it again at 7 3/4" in the orange owl pattern from Moonlight.  Then I cut a piece of Colonial White cardstock the same shape as the coffin and glued it to the one flap on the left side to make a card :) To decorate the outside, I cut SPOOKY at 1 1/4" and glued it on top of 3 strips of the Silver Shimmer Trim.  I stamped "Have a Wicked Halloween" from last year's Wicked set.  National Stamping Month Special: To celebrate N...

CTMH-- Artiste in August Day 21- Teacher Gift Box

Welcome back to Day 21 of the Artiste in August Blog Hop!!  You should be arriving from Amy's Blog .   Your next stop will be PAMELA'S BLOG.   Today we are featuring the Tall Box on page 40 (11 in assembly book.  This box was cut at 5 1/4" and sits about 5 1/2" tall.  I used the Scholastic papers, the burlap pattern for the box then the book spine pattern for the top and bottom.  I glued the bottom on, but just set the top on.  I used some Outdoor Denim Twill ribbon to hold it all together, then added some burlap ribbon, cut in half, to tie a bow. I created the tag out of the blue grid paper, using A Typeface and Bingo Alphabet stamp sets.  I have seen this sentiment/tag all over pinterest, so instead of printing it, I created my own.  My son started school today, so we took this to his teacher!  Of course the box is filled with home made chocolate chip cookies :)  I hope she loves it!!! Here's my boy on his first...

CTMH-- Artiste in August Day 17- Card Sentiments

Welcome back to Day 17 of the Artiste in August Blog Hop!!  You should be arriving from Amy's Blog .   Your next stop will be PAMELA'S BLOG.   Today is an ANY SHAPE day.  I would like to share some cards with you from my recent All You Can Create Card Class.  I tend to use a lot of Cricut cuts in these cards because it's easy to pop in some cardstock and hit the Quantity button and cut several at a time for class.  These are just some basic cuts for sentiments! This card features Clementine papers and Say It In Style stamps.  I used some Neutral Twine and Brown and Tan Bling.  This card is a copy of a card we created at convention. The sentiment is on a bracket from page 33  This card is a lift of a card I found on Pinterest.  I used the new Ruby ink and Scholastic papers.  I LOOOOVE the burlap ribbon on this one.  All you need to do to fray it as shown is cut off the binding, then pull some of the strings off...

CTMH-- Artiste in August Day 16- Christmas Tree

Welcome back to Day 16 of the Artiste in August Blog Hop!!  You should be arriving from Amy's Blog .   Your next stop will be PAMELA'S BLOG.   Today we are featuring the Christmas Tree cut from page 53 in the handbook (28 in assembly book).  This tree is pretty small, only about 5 1/2" tall when assembled.  These would look festive on the table at Christmas time, maybe even as name places :) I cut the tree from Desert Sand cardstock, then used some really old Christmas paper- Hollydays (this stuff is over 5 years old...).  I cut the shield shape from page 48 and attached it in a staggered fashion on each side, curling up the bottom half of the paper. I cannot wait to see what my fellow Artiste artists come up with on this one :) National Stamping Month Special: To celebrate National Stamping Month in September, we are bringing back our popular double stamp set promotion! You can get the exclusive, new My Acrylix ® It’s Your Day double ...
