CTMH- Route to Good Times

As I prepare to head to my very FIRST Close To My Heart event- Convention - in Washington DC, I want to share with you a card I made for my roommates!
This card uses only cardstock and one stamp set: Ticket to Ride. The cardstock colors are the colors of CTMH's Convention: Twilight, Cocoa, Sunflower, Sweet Leaf and Vineyard Berry. Ticket to Ride is the stamp set available ONLY in the Zippidee Kit of the Month. (Which I'll feature in August!) On this card, I also used our new Circle Punch and corner rounder (to make scallops).

CTMH Convention is July 8-10 in Washington DC. I head out tomorrow morning and will attend a special Leadership Day on the 7th!

CTMH- Washi Tape Card

Do you WASHI??? Washi Tape is one of the new and super trendy products being used. I'm not afraid to jump on the bandwagon :) CTMH now has a Slate Polka-Dot Washi Tape (and I HOPE there are lots more to come!!!) I also have picked up a couple others at Michaels recently. This weeks Color My Heart Color Dare is JUNIPER. I decided to use Juniper as the accent color for my card today. I used the black banner stamp set from Artiste Kudos , CTMH's Slate Washi Tape , CTMH's Silver Shimmer Trim and a black arrow washi tape. The sentiment is from Artiste Birthday , stamped in Juniper, then popped on foam tape. A simple card like this, called for some dressing up of the inside too. I stamped Happy Birthday from Perfect Fit Birthday and added some Slate Washi Tape to the bottom. Head over to Color My Heart to check out the other color dare entries :)

CTMH-- September Stamp of the Month- Fall Favori

Welcome to the Close To My Heart Stamp of the Month Blog Hop for September 2012, featuring Fall Favorites All artwork on the hop will feature Fall Favorites! This is a set of 11 stamps and it's really making me want FALL---- NOW!!! How cute is this set!? If you have come here from Susan's Blog y ou are on the right path. For my card today, I used the new Clementine paper pack, which is so versatile! I cut the tag from Art Philosophy and stamped Fall Favorites in Brown Staz-on ink, then colored the pumpkin and leaves with my new markers. I found that they don't blend and shade terribly well on Kraft cardstock- but the color showed up. I added some of my favorite Burlap Ribbon to the card :) Do you think I like pumpkin pie???
