Friday Favorites

I know its been a while, but here are some of my newest obsessions :) How cute is this stuff!!! This one is on its way and i can't wait to get it :) I have a huge paper problem right now....... I need to use some up! Good news is I'm going to a 12 hour crop tomorrow, so I hope to cut into my paper problem a little bit! This might be the least prepared crop I've been to, but I still hope to get 15-20 lo's done :) Wish me luck!

Back to sketchin

Its been a while since my sketchin juices have flown.... sorry! I went back to work 3 weeks ago, which means that I'm back to sketchin. Don't ask how the inspiration comes to me best at work, but it does. I'm even starting to do card sketches! Hope to get one of those up later this week :)

Featured Sketch on Creative Scrappers

This sketch is featured this week at Creative Scrappers I am one of the sketch designers there, and this is the first time my sketch has been used as one of the weekly sketches :) I LOVE what the design team has done with the sketch! If you do this sketch, make sure to post it at Creative Scrappers also for a chance to win one of their monthly prizes.

More Cards

Over the course of the last week I have made 44 cards. A few from a kit, a bunch for my Christmas Card Workshop, and a bunch for a swap. For most of them, I made multiple cards. I also used up a bunch of scraps :) Here are all the rest (except for my Christmas ones)

World Card Making Day cards

As promised.... here are some cards I did for the occasion! The first few are from my CTMH Kit- Just Because. I altered them from the instructions a bit.

Newest Sketch

Here's the last of the last batch I drew up this summer.... I went back to work today, it won't be long before I am drawing sketches there... I seem to do my best sketching when I'm (bored) at work!

A new sketch to get you through the weekend!

Christmas Cards

All right, my local friends, I need your input!!!!! I am trying to plan out my next workshop and really want to do Christmas cards! Couple things I'm deciding between.... I can do a multi card workshop, like 10-20 cards, all different designs, workshop cost would be $1.00 per card. OR I can do 5 different designs (all the same color scheme) and you make 10 each of those cards. This would be a $50 workshop, for 50 cards, but I would include a stamp set and an ink pad, in addition to all the embellishments that would go on the cards. OR I can do 1 or 2 designs (possibly cards that would work as photo cards with a wallet sized photo) and you make 50 cards for $50, also including a stamp set and an ink pad. So what do you think, give me some feedback!!!!!!!!!!!! AND Would the end of September or the beginning of October work best for you???? It would be a 6+ hour event. PLEASE VOTE!!!!!!!

3 months in the making.....

So I've been working on my daughter's birth announcements for over 3 months now! It started with an idea I came across from another CTMH consultant. I then found the template and chose my papers/colors. Then I made a prototype out of scraps. Then she came and I got busy with newborn stuff! I placed my order for supplies though. Sometime in June I started cutting out the card bases. I decided on the photo to use in July and got that ordered! Sometime later in July, I worked on them some more. At the end of July I spent a week at my parents house and sat down and worked on them some more. My mom then threatened me that I had to get them out soon or else. So now that my retreat is over, I'm caught up on life... I made it my project of the week!! It took a few hour this week but they are done!!!! ALL 96!!!!!!!!! My goal was to have them out before she's 3 months old (I made it). They will be handed out to those who come to her baptism this weekend and then ma...

Sketches again!

and my version:

Retreat lo's

Went on a weekend retreat last weekend. I planned this with my friend Katrina. We had 12 other ladies there. Katrina and I did goody bags for everyone with cute t-shirts, I taught a mini book class, we bought and cooked all the food the whole weekend. I also brought my darling baby girl with me.... With all that, I managed to somehow get 30 Layouts done!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so surprised when I counted them up after I got home!! Here they are:

My creations!

So I'm knee deep in packing up my scrap stuff to take to a weekend retreat and somehow I'm managing to scrap some too! This LO is for a challenge and feature techniques learned at Feeling Scrappy Some cards: I came across this awesome card sketch site: Sheetload of Cards They have sketches and templates for making multiple cards of the same sketch! These cards are 3x3 and just so cute (and way easy too)

Sketchfest

I may have a sketch or two in this challenge! Tune in to see :)
