CTMH-- Artiste in August Day 7- 20 Circles Ball

Welcome back to Day 7 of the Artiste in August Blog Hop!! You should be arriving from Amy's Blog. Your next stop will be PAMELA'S BLOG.

Today we are all featuring the 20 Circles Ball, found on page 57 in the handbook (p. 35 in assembly book).

I was pretty excited for how well these turned out :) I cut the circles at 1 1/4" as directed, then scored and folded them. I used the new Flirty Level 2 papers for this one- which are so bright and lively! The assembly was a little tricky, and I'm not sure it looks like a nice round circle all the way around. But it did turn out pretty cute.
To add to the ball, I added some glitter buttons I had to the corners. I strung colonial white ribbon through the center and knotted it at the top and bottom. I used one of the resin flower stick pins from the Autumn Lane Assortment to the bottom of the ball.

These would make really cute ornaments for the holidays, even to give as gifts!!

CTMH- Washi Tape Card

Do you WASHI??? Washi Tape is one of the new and super trendy products being used. I'm not afraid to jump on the bandwagon :) CTMH now has a Slate Polka-Dot Washi Tape (and I HOPE there are lots more to come!!!) I also have picked up a couple others at Michaels recently. This weeks Color My Heart Color Dare is JUNIPER. I decided to use Juniper as the accent color for my card today. I used the black banner stamp set from Artiste Kudos , CTMH's Slate Washi Tape , CTMH's Silver Shimmer Trim and a black arrow washi tape. The sentiment is from Artiste Birthday , stamped in Juniper, then popped on foam tape. A simple card like this, called for some dressing up of the inside too. I stamped Happy Birthday from Perfect Fit Birthday and added some Slate Washi Tape to the bottom. Head over to Color My Heart to check out the other color dare entries :)

CTMH-- September Stamp of the Month- Fall Favori

Welcome to the Close To My Heart Stamp of the Month Blog Hop for September 2012, featuring Fall Favorites All artwork on the hop will feature Fall Favorites! This is a set of 11 stamps and it's really making me want FALL---- NOW!!! How cute is this set!? If you have come here from Susan's Blog y ou are on the right path. For my card today, I used the new Clementine paper pack, which is so versatile! I cut the tag from Art Philosophy and stamped Fall Favorites in Brown Staz-on ink, then colored the pumpkin and leaves with my new markers. I found that they don't blend and shade terribly well on Kraft cardstock- but the color showed up. I added some of my favorite Burlap Ribbon to the card :) Do you think I like pumpkin pie???
