CTMH--Stamp of the Month Blog Hop- My Sunshine

Welcome to the Close To My Heart Stamp of the Month Blog Hop for April 2013- featuring My Sunshine My Sunshine, a set of 8 , is a fun , fun st amp set!   If you have come here from Dawn's Blog you're on the right path.  If you get lost along the way, you'll find a complete hop list at Helen's Blog! Have you tried the Puddle Pad technique????? First, layer a couple baby wipes on a large block, then take your reinkers (I used Creme Brule, Sunset, Smoothie and Lagoon.)  and randomly drip them on the wipe, forming a large blob of color at least as big as your stamp.  Then take your stamp, press down firmly to ink it up, and stamp. On the circle in the middle, I also swiped it a few times in the "puddle pad" which gave it a streaky distressed look.  Look how fun it is: My card today is based on the Deconstructed Sketch #95 . I thought the Dotty For You Papers would go perfect with the sketch.  I added some fraye...

CTMH- Kids Kraft Klass- Easter

One of my favorite classes to teach is my Kids Kraft Klass! On Sunday, I had 5 kids here making some Easter Crafts :) Treat Tube: These were leftover from the Who's Your Valentine Kit.  Actually the tubes are available all the time, but I had leftover boxes. We cut some grass out of Sweet Leaf patterned paper, and stamped a pre-cut Easter Egg in Buttercup with the Easter Wishes stamp set in Sky ink.  Tied a ribbon on the top and filled with Easter colored M&M's.   Bunny Card: I found a tutorial for cutting an Easter Bunny using Art Philosophy ( here ), and modified it to fit on a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card. We used White Daisy Cardstock, sponged Blush pink on some of the pieces, added Black Sparkles for the eyes and pieced it all onto Sweet Leaf or Crystal Blue cardstock. Mine:   My kids cards (mine is in the middle):   Paper Strip Bunny I have seen some cool things created using scraps of paper strips recently and thought it would be nea...

CTMH- Flirty Flower Birthday Card

This week I created a couple different fabric flowers using CTMH's new Textiles.  While I was doing that, I brought out my Rosette Ribbon and made a flower with that too!  To create the flower, I took about 15 inches of the rosette ribbon, using liquid glass, I glued it to a circle punched at 1.5".  The center is a big shimmer brad that I colored with my Gypsy marker.  Then the Mojo Monday sketch 284 for this week was a perfect fit for this flow er card.  Over at Color My Heart- the Color Dare challenge was to use two different paper packs, so I used up some older papers for this one- the Pink pattern is Flirty and the marbled background paper is from Moonlight.  The stamp set is Party Pennants.  I also used some Silver Glitter paper.  Come back later tonight to see the other two flowers I created with the CTMH Textiles!
