I am getting SO close to finishing my 10 Studio J layouts to get one FREE this month!  I have 8 complete so it just might happen :) I was lucky enough to take my kids camping to the Beach last weekend.  Although it rained the whole drive there, and most of Saturday, Sunday was a gorgeous day!  This first layout features the super cool, retired paper pack: Moondoggie.  I love the "sandy" look that the stubble brush distressing tool gave to the background cardstock.  Notice the stitching I created around the 1/2 circle on the left side.  I placed a few stitches, rotated them the way I wanted.  Then I selected them all, pressed copy, then pressed paste.  Then I could move the set of 5 stitches to the next spot around the circle.  It would have taken me forever to do one stitch at a time.  This next paper pack was Simple Pleasures.  This paper set is so beautiful.  It has some touches of barn red in it, so I changed the colo...

I am still working on creating my Studio J layouts this month so that I can earn my FREE layout :)  I'm not sure I'll make it to 10 layouts though.... Here is a layout I created with the retired Daydream paper kit in under 20 minutes tonight! I did not do a whole lot to the design of this one.  I switched the flower/circle over to the right side, added my title and journaling.  I added sponge distressing to the papers and it's complete! **This is my 500th post.... WOW** I'm so happy to have a home to display my home decor projects in! I was inspired by this banner by Lisa Stenz .  I knew as soon as I saw it that I wanted to make one of my own for the entry in our new home!  It took me a while.... a long while, to make this.  Maybe it was because I was sicker than sick when I created it, but it seemed to take forever. On four of the banner pieces, I used the Spray Pen with Vineyard Berry reinker, create a shade pearl paint & water and sprayed the actual chipboard.  On the other three banner pieces I used some old Silhouette paper.  The paper rosettes were made with two 2" strips of patterned paper, accordian folded and glued together.  I used the Silhouette paper on the red banners and Wings paper for the others.  I used our new 2" scallop circle punch for the red background and the Bohemian Alphabet for the letters.
