Welcome to the Close To My Heart Stamp of the Month Blog Hop for February

All artwork on the hop will feature February's Friendship, a set of 8 stamps! If you have come here from Laurie's Blog you are on the right path.

This month we have  about 70 CTMH Consultants sharing their SOTM creations, and other great CTMH artwork. Hopping along is fun and simple to do - just click the link at the end of each blogger's post to move to the next one!  Be sure to leave some love (comments) along the way :)
Today I have 2 projects I want to share with you :)
The first is a card that I created as a Make-n-Take for my Open House which was yesterday.  This card features one of our new Paper Packs:  Sophia.  I just love the pink and green colors here!  I used a pattern from Wishes-   .  The sentiment from February's Friendship SOTM was popped up.  I used one of the damask type images to create a small pattern on the white cardstock with Baby Pink Ink.

The next is my favorite!  I have seen "specimen" art all over blog land the last few months and I finally decided to create one for myself :)
I stamped another damask image to create a pattern background on white daisy cardstock with Black ink.  I punched out hearts in Tulip cardstock and popped each one a little to give it some dimension.  I backed in in Tulip cardstock and used a 10x13 frame I had.  Voila!  Quick easy home decor project :)

I hope you like my creations this month :)

ALL NEW PRODUCTS from the Spring/Summer Idea Book will be available to purchase on my website HERE starting Feb 1st!!!!!  If you want to be on my mailing list and receive my specials- email me @ roxybonds at gmail dot com

Valentine's Wreath

I have seen this wreath all over blog land, both for Christmas and for Valentine's Day and it has been on my to-do list for a while. I'm pretty sure I saw it at the Idea Room first.  I finally sat down with my supplies to create it and I {heart} how it turned out!  I have it hung in my family room :)

I think if I start early enough, I can create a couple of these for Christmas :)

*~*My Crafty Space*~* Part 2

I'm excited to share with you the progress that I've made in the organization and set up of my craft room!  I'm still searching for the perfect "name" to my room so leave me a comment with your suggestion!

Since posting earlier in the week, I have reorganized my papers.  I pulled all my CTMH cardstock out of the file drawer that it was weighing down, sorted it by color, then put them in cropper hopper paper folders.  I put frome 1-3 colors in each folder depending on how much I have or use of that color.  Then I put them in my cubes by color (pink, red, orange/yellow, green, blue and purple.  I already had my neutrals sorted:  white, black, colonial white, neutrals and browns.  Then in the bottom cube is my random patterned papers, shaped papers and bling cardstocks.

I also hung up my corkboard which has baggies of swap items.

Here is the long awaited shelf/desk from IKEA!  I'm so thrilled to finally have this in my space :)  The table part is nice and big, holding my ink tower and my other essential tools and supplies.  I have not finalized what I'll keep in the shelves, but its coming together!

Here's the view when you walk in my room.  My desk is in front of the window.  To the left of my desk is a whole lot of stuff that needs to be put away still, then a file cabinet, then the closet.

And here's the wall that I face when I craft!  I LOOOOOOOVE having some of my favorite layouts framed!  I have them in a couple different rooms and they make me HAPPY!

I'm working on putting something 3 more wall decor items- the first being for the wall above my cubes.  Its going to say CREATE.

Stay tuned for more.....

*~*My Crafty Space*~* Part 1

New house = New crafty space!!!!

And this space needs a name..... Jen's Studio?  Jen's Crafty Place?  Jen's Creative Space?  Jen's Getaway?  HELP!
(leave me a comment/suggestion!  If I end up using your suggestion I'll send ya a little somethin'!)

Anyways.... This room is about 10.5 x 14 with a nice large walk-in closet.  It's located at the end of our bedroom hall, facing the front of the house/street.  I can just see myself crafting away while the kids play outside (someday....).

Before moving in, the walls were blue with a sports border---- had to go!  My painters painted them white and I came in and painted the bottom half Hollyhock Pink (yes, I took Hollyhock cardstock to Home Depot and matched it).  Then I found these AWESOME black damask wall stickers on CLEARANCE at Kohl's a couple weeks ago and put them up as a border.

My first "arrangement" of my computer desk/ cubes / scrap table was not working for me at all, so I rearranged a couple weeks ago and its fabulous!

When I walk in the room and turn right, this is my wall of stuff!  My table sits in front of it, so I turn around to get my supplies :)  My computer desk is on the left, right in front of the window.

Left side:  I found those magnetic boards at Home Goods, they hold ideas I've printed out, a sketch/photo that I will work on next.  See my cool border?
On the far left are my "least used supplies", then my cricut stuff, then some flowers and other things.

Starting with the 1st stack of 3 cubes is my stickles, bling, finished layouts (in a drawer), adhesives, punches and paper packs I'm working with.  Then next stack is all CTMH stuff.  The next stack is all paper:  misc. companies then cardstocks, then stacks from other co.  Next to that is some plastic drawer things- those have my scraps, embossing stuff and some other random things that I have yet to organize.

I just love that little display thing that I found at Hobby Lobby.  I have some of my more recent *loved* projects on it!  My ink tower sits next to it!

The wall to the right, which sits right next to my chair has 2 tall plastic storage things.  One holds all my alpha stickers/ Thickers and some misc stuff.  The other is FULLLLLLLLLL of CTMH stamps!  5 drawers with up to 35 stamp sets in each, plus a full box on top!  YIKES!

Right now I'm using a 4' table from costco to scrap on, BUUUUTTTTT, this baby from IKEA is on its way!  My mom picked it up for me and is bringing it up to me this weekend :)

Oh, and here's a glimpse of the amazing walk-in closet that I was blessed with!  It is in no-way-shape-or-form organized, but it sure does hold a TON of crap!!!!

When we were deciding who got which bedroom, my husband said "this room already has a sports border, so this will be Tyler's room right?"  Hahahahaha, silly man!  I said "no!  It will be my office.... There's no way I'm giving up this closet to a BOY!"  Plus, I didn't want my kids to have rooms facing the front of the house.  Poor child has the smallest room.... but mama's happy ;)

Stay tuned for more (as it gets organized!)

CTMH--- Christmas Layouts - Traditional & Studio J

I am completely finished scrapbooking Christmas 2010!!!  YES, this past Christmas!

HOW??? You ask?

Well, first of all, I really don't like scrapping Christmas.  There are a few "events", tons of pictures, lots of things to journal about...... I think really the problem is that by the time I get to it mid-year, I am not that into it and have forgotten the memories :(

SO, I decided (after some inspiration from Erica and Barbra) that I would just go ahead and do it now, while its fresh.  AND thanks to Studio J, I was able to get the bulk of it done FAST! What I did was go through the Mistletoe and Wings Workshop Kits and decided which pictures would go in those.  Then I chose some of my favorite pictures to scrap traditionally as well.  Then I started uploading all the rest into Studio J!

Here we go (part 1)

Studio J- Mistletoe Kit
